Located right on the seafront, this wonderful family home enjoys not only uninterrupted sea views but peace and quiet, with the pedestrianised parade the only thing between you and the beach. Bathe in the sea, in the heated swimming pool just along the parade, or enjoy golf, tennis, riding, bowls, squash, boating, wind-surfing, fresh-water and sea angling: all are available in and around the lovely town of Hythe - you will need to return to fit it all in!! Pop across to France for the day, take a trip on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Light Steam Railway or, as the house has Wi-Fi, you can surf the internet whilst watching the windsurfers and waves and simply relax and unwind.... Great seafront location and great that this year comfy outdoor chairs provided for front garden. Kids love “the tall house” especially the loft bedrooms. Recommend Sunshine meze restaurant with its wonderful lunchtime deal.
This house is great for families and worked well for our 3 generations. Cot, high chair and one working stairgate in the house. So nice to be able to walk straight onto the beach or walk into town whilst being in a relatively quiet spot. Very 'homely' (loved the antique furniture) and pretty much everything you would need for a comfortable holiday. Not suitable for elderly or infirm (69 steps from top to bottom)
We've loved our 2 visits to this property. The location speaks for itself. We love the fact that the original character has not been sacrificed to to insensitive 'updating'. It even has the original railings on the balcony. The beds are clean and comfortable, the heating, cooker and showers work, so slightly out of date, endearingly quirky kitchen units etc are perfectly OK for a weeks holiday. Leg muscles get a good workout.
This is an additional comment rather than a review as your survey doesn't have space for comments. We have stayed at Watsons 6 times now and have booked again for next year, we love it there! The only thing that's missing is somewhere comfortable to sit in the garden. There are 2 picnic tables and some plastic dining chairs, none of which are comfortable for relaxing in the sunshine. Having a comfy outdoor sofa or some sunloungers would be such a welcome addition. I am keeping my fingers crossed for next year!
The gift that just keeps giving This property is a true home from home. The owner couldn’t have thought of any more to make your stay as easy as possible. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked with games, children’s toys, books, anything you could possibly need in a kitchen and everything in between. Your doors open into a cosy little courtyard and then you are onto the beach. Having little ones, this made life super easy as we could dart in and out of the house whenever we needed. Supermarket, shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance or 2 minutes in a car. There are a lot of stairs but well worth the climb to stay in such a beautiful family friendly home. We will definitely be booking to stay again. Thanks so much
