Dancing Beggars is a cosy three storey, two bedroom property, located only moments from the bustling, historic town centre of Dartmouth. The owners have spent time stylishly decorating Dancing Beggars with carefully handpicked maritime items. From the moment you walk through the front door, you are instantly aware of Dartmouth's history with an old ship search light, prominently positioned in the corner of the living area and a beautifully kept wheel of a ship at the foot of the stairs. The kitchen area is compact, however well equipped with all the usual appliances you would expect to find. There is a breakfast bar with two wrought iron stools, as well as a dining table. Within the living area is an good sized open fire, comfy seating and wall mounted smart TV, the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day exploring the many delights Dartmouth has to offer.
The real wow factor is the hand drawn mural of the owner's father's interpretation of Dartmouth, found at the foot of the stairs. From here, the stairs lead up to the first and second floor, where you'll spot the property name half way up. The second bedroom is located on the first floor with a beautiful low level double bed and chaise long in one corner of the bedroom. The Master bedroom sits on the second floor, with a beautiful wooden carved double bed and a stained glass window above. Again, you are instantly reminded of your surroundings with accents of nautical features running through each of the bedrooms. Each bedroom benefits from a smart TV and additional seating area, creating a more luxurious feel.
Dartmouth has plenty on offer for everybody, and all can be enjoyed without the need of your car. With the river Dart offering river cruises to Dittisham and Totnes, passing by the late Dame Agatha Christie’s beautiful riverside home or why not try out the popular water sport of paddle boarding, the river Dart offers some great sheltered waters and another great opportunity to take in its beautiful scenery. If you wish to travel further afield, less than four miles from Dartmouth is Blackpool Sands, set in an unspoilt, sheltered bay amongst evergreens and pines. The town has an array of eateries, from fine dining restaurants to tasty fish n chips, both providing excellent views across to Kingswear.

A beautiful fisherman’s cottage in the heart of the town. Clean and with lovely furnishings; very cosy and comfortable. The only negative would be the daily early morning noise from the next door M&S deliveries and drivers. Not a problem for us as the seagulls woke us first, but could be an issue for other users.
Charming property in a great location! Really enjoyed our long weekend!
