Driftwood is a lovely house in a great location, ideal for a holiday whatever the time of year.

The open plan living room has picture windows, and patio doors open onto a balcony which basks in the setting sun.

There are steps leading to another terrace below for al-fresco dining and watching the sunset over Torbay. The ground floor master en-suite bedroom has great views, as does one of the twin bedrooms on the first floor, where there is also a family bathroom.
The property benefits from a garage for a medium-sized car, with additional on-street parking nearby.
Panoramic views can be enjoyed from Brixham town and harbour across Torbay and beyond to Lyme Bay on a clear day. Dogs are welcome at this property.

There is easy access to the coastal footpath, but you may decide just to sit back and enjoy the scenery. Brixham is a bustling, interesting town and with this bird’s eye view, you can watch the activities of the boats on the water below. Fresh fish is landed on the quay, or if you don’t feel like cooking, there are many restaurants to choose from in Brixham. Shoalstone outdoor saltwater pool, an art deco icon, is a mere 300 yards away.

Brixham is a popular destination with walkers, daytrippers, fishermen, rock climbers, naturalists, and historians, making it one of Torbay’s top ten most visited attractions. Take a ferry to Torquay with its bustling shops, bistros, cafés, or a boat trip to maritime Dartmouth, where you can ride on the Dartmouth steam railway or leisurely cruise along the River Dart. Visit Agatha Christie’s Greenway House and Dartmoor with its tours and quaint villages. Fine golf courses are a short drive. Beach 300 yards. Shop 300 yards, pub 200 yards, and restaurant ¼ mile.

The house is in a fabulous location for views of the harbour and Torbay coastline. The lounge kitchen dining room is a great space. A really well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed.

Not much more to say than Driftwood, due to it's location and the lovely windows that have been installed, has THE best view over Brixham you could find. The house is lovely, the cleanliness is spot on and the three floors all give you fantastic views of the harbour.

A lovely property with the most stunning views from upper and lower terraces; if you didn't want to go out any day you could just sit and watch life unfolding in front of you. A comfortable house with plenty of space for family groups. Well furnished with paintings and ornaments, so not austere as some rental properties can be. Be prepared to increase your fitness levels, there are steep steps to climb to get up back from the town. Some wonderful walks, along the coastal path or out on the breakwater. We tried several restaurants and can particularly recommend Casa Nostra and Rockfish. The town has enough shops and galleries to be interesting without being overrun.

Driftwood is a superb house and must be one of the best situated in the town with amazing panoramic views across the bay. The 3-storey layout worked really well to give everyone some space to themselves throughout our week's stay, but also with a lovely open plan kitchen/diner/living room for spending time together.

Just back from a great week at Driftwood, 4 adults and our mini dachshund, Mustard. The property has amazing views over the harbour and sea. Brixham is notorious for steps due to the steep sides around the bay, so we expected the climb up and down each day and it wasn’t really any problem. As for parking the Ford Puma fitted in the garage with no problem too. We would recommend Driftwood as a place to stay

The view is quite spectacular - made even more perfect by a colony of seals playing directly opposite. We had a wonderful Christmas break together - the house was so comfortable and beautifully positioned to walk from the door. The team had also left us Christmas decorations and treats and a very well equipped kitchen meant Christmas dinner went smoothly. Do not follow satnav but use the company’s directions which stay on the (slightly) wider streets.Garage is very small (didn’t fit a Golf) and on street parking a little tricky - but that view makes up for everything!
