Description

This lovely, pet friendly cottage is perfectly located in a quiet cul de sac just off the main high street, so in the very heart of town. Park the car and forget about it for a few days of invigorating sea air and relaxation. In warm weather you can open the bifold doors and bring the garden into the house for sunny, alfresco meals. In chillier weather, light the wood burner and enjoy the cosy sitting room. Just a couple of hundred yards from the cottage you have the entire town at your disposal. The long beach, working fishing harbour and of course the fish market famous for its oysters; the vibrant High Street and Harbour Street with the great independent shops, cafes and restaurants, not to mention the pubs with live music, and the numerous art galleries. You may need to stay longer!

Reviews

Lovely house, cosy and well equipped. Great to have large towels.

Mr B,

The house is very close to the High Street and a short walk from the station so ideally placed for anyone arriving by train as we did. We ate out at some lovely local restaurants so didn't make much use of the well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed breakfast in the pretty suntrap of a garden.

Mrs U,

Sally the owner was amazing. She gave us information about the area and she advised us of walks near by. The cottage is well equipped and as short walk to the high street with many restaurants and lovely shops

Mrs S,

Lovely, comfortable accommodation within easy reach of the town centre, the beach and the railway station. A great location for exploring the local area without using a car.

Mrs Monica S,

A lovely, well maintained cottage in an excellent location

Mr Roderick S,

Periwinkle cottage was in a fabulous location for us. The cottage provided a comfortable stay, it is dog friendly which is a plus for lots of people as Whitstable is a very dog friendly place. We will definitely be returning, the owners were really helpful and approachable. Great cottage!

Mrs S,

Very good house and very short way to the shops, Pub and Restaurant. Bed very comfortable, we have good sleep .Thanks for the good time. We will come back with out two dogs.

Mr L,

4 for equipment as no oven gloves found. UsingT towels was ok but slightly dangerous. Value for money less than 5 as was simply very expensive. This is understandable as running costs/energy bills for properties have sky rocketed and is no way intended as a criticism of the owner. Everything else was just as we could have wished. It’s clear the owner (who also took the trouble to get in touch) goes the extra mile in every way and we were very impressed.

Mr Simon L,

We have visited Periwinkle Cottage on three occasions now with our dog and whilst we have tried others in Whitstable this remains our favourite. Great position to all amenities and the cottage is well equipped, cosy and comfortable, would recommend x
