Description

Old Farm Cottage is a beautiful and spacious two bedroom cottage which has been thoughtfully furnished with high quality décor. Situated on the outskirts of the popular village of Goathland, in a quiet location with beautiful countryside views and the steam train passing nearby. The village was put on the map after being the fictional setting of Aidensfield in ITV1's drama Heartbeat and this cottage used to be a bar for the Heartbeat cast staying at the hotel next door; however both have now been converted into charming stone-built cottages.

The cottage itself boasts private parking and a lovely enclosed patio with outside seating. Inside you will find a cosy and comfortable lounge with wood burning stove for you to curl up next to on an evening. Mixing traditional features with modern facilities, Old Farm Cottage offers a comfortable stay, just a short drive to the picturesque seaside town of Whitby and its surrounding villages on the North York Moors. This is an ideal haven for walkers and cyclists looking to explore this beautiful region.

Reviews

A lovely well equipped and decorated cottage. Well placed foe exploring the moors and the coast.

Miss S,

Lovely location near the village which gets very busy due to the Heartbeat connection, the locals are very friendly and the walks around are magnificent. Highly recommended.

Mr H,

The parking was difficult don,t no where people would park with a larger car .The stairs were difficult for the less mobile and the patio was horrible to walk and sit at .There was no butter knife and the table needed packing to make it level and stop it rocking. The score for recomending your salves was because of the mixup up and stress over payment.

Mr Terance N,

Easy to book on line. Kept informed as holiday date approaches. On this occasion cottage was in a great location and met all our needs.

Mr Michael L,

SCORES FOR THIS PROPETY WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY HIGH. HOWEVER, THER IS A MAJOR ISSUE REGARDS PARKING, WHICH IS NOT CLEAR ON THE DISCRIOTION

Mr Martin B,

Great cottage in a picture postcode setting

Mr Barry C,

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. We felt right at home and In fact spent a lot of our evenings just in the cottage. Hoping to return next year

Miss Jasmine M,

This was my 3rd stay at Old Farm Cottage, always a high standard.

Mrs Sally M,

We had a great weekend and the cottage is lovely. However, when we arrived at 4pm on the Thursday evening the house was very, very cold. I don't think anyone had been in it for a few days and we thought we could have gone in a bit earlier when it was daylight. Once we lit the fire and switched on the panel radiator it did warm up later in the evening.

Mrs Jennifer K,
