Description

Cherry Tree House is a gem! If you are looking for a slightly quirky house for up to eight people, within easy walking distance of Helmsley town centre, look no further. Throughout this spacious house, fascinating artefacts and interesting features provide added interest. The owner has spent a lifetime collecting furniture and antiquities, and Cherry Tree House is the perfect showcase. The kitchen diner is a fantastic space to relax, eat and entertain, with a large table and a contemporary kitchen. The chefs in your party are well catered for with an Aga and contemporary oven and hob, and with two dishwashers no-one is going to be stuck at the sink for long. The adjoining family area provides additional space to watch TV or play a game, yet within the same area. The separate lounge and garden room offer plenty of space for everyone. If you want to escape, why not fling open the patio doors in the garden room and relax with a book or enjoy a quiet glass of wine whilst taking in the view of the patio. Upstairs, the bedrooms are all of a good size. Two are en suite and the free standing cast iron bath in the master bedroom en suite offers an extra touch of luxury. Outside, the patio has a table and chairs for enjoying meals al fresco or perhaps you will use the charcoal barbecue. A large cherry tree dominates the patio, providing shade in this suntrap area. There is also a large grassed area for the more active, and plenty of space for off-road parking. It is just a five minute walk to Helmsley town centre, with its boutique and individual shops, and great choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants. The two large hotels have outstanding restaurants, and offer afternoon teas. The Michelin starred The Star Inn at Harome is a couple of miles away. Whether you are looking for a house for a family get-together, a special celebration, or just want somewhere with plenty of space, Cherry Tree House should definitely be considered.

Reviews

Beautiful property with everything we needed for a family holiday. Big kitchen and living room for socialising, many bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The property is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Helmsley with lots of great pubs, restaurants and shops - we wish we could have stayed longer to try them all. Would definitely stay again!

Mrs N,

Our 3rd family visit.. Spacious, warm and comfy. Plenty of kitchen utensils and equipment. Excellent location.. Just a few minutes walk to all the amenities.

Mrs J,

Excellent setting near centre of Helmsley yet in a quiet location this property was very comfortable for a group of adults. Kitchen was well equipped with a large dining table that enables everyone to eat together with plenty of room, not always the case we have found in rental properties. Friendly host lives in building at rear of property. Plenty of off road car parking. We all liked Helmsley and recommend it.

Mr G,

We stayed at Cherry Tree House for four nights. The House is lovely and is very well located so close to the village. The Kitchen/living room is amazing and the bedrooms are very comfortable with good quality linen. The rear garden is secure for dogs. Helmsley is a wonderful Yorkshire village with a great selection of independent shops and bakeries/delicatessen. The local pubs/restaurants/cafe's are excellent and mostly dog friendly. |We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return.

Mr R,

Cherry Tree House was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The host was very pleasant, helpful and obliging. It was suitable for our young children, with lots of room to use and an enclosed garden. It is situated in a quiet area but we could walk to the square in a few minutes. There is safe off road parking. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Mrs B,

Good choice of properties

Mr Andrew C,

Cherry Tree Gouse was lovely clean and comfortable. Harry and Chris very helpful. Just a couple of things the shower curtain could do with being replaced with a glass screen or door and the patio area could do with a spruce up but appreciate it was probably the first decent weekend we have had to sit out

Mrs Helen H,

I thought a lot of effort had gone into making the home special and comfortable

Mrs Louise H,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, obviously it was expensive but we were there for New Year so expected a hike in the price. We had lots of room in the house which was great with our large family. Lovely large kitchen with the bonus of an Ager, and the bedding was fabulous. Lots of lovely walks and places to visit. Parking was easy as was the quick walk into town for supplies and lovely bread at the bakery. The owner was on call for any thing we needed and very friendly.

Mrs Lynda A,

This is our second consecutive visit to Cherry Tree House. Perfect for a family get together. Lots of space, very warm and cosy for our winter visit. Excellent location being so close to Helmsley but equally peaceful. Lovely helpful host.
