Reviews

A cosy comfortable cottage in a great location as the North Yorkshire moors railway runs past the bottom of the garden!. Excellent base for visiting this beautiful part of the country. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Mrs B,

Location and layout were great for a family holiday. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable.

Mrs H,

Cosy cottage very good location.

Mrs S,

Lovely cosy cottage snug and warm. Beautiful location waved to so many Santa's Express Steam Trains the days leading to Xmas Day....... Plenty of walks from the door with our two dogs. Beds were all comfy, as it was Xmas made alot of use of the oven - easy to use and very good working order, log burner was great, but only used once as cottage was warm anyway! We were lucky for the time of year the weather was mild. We walked into Pickering as only about a mile, as of most of the surrounding villages Pickering is lovely - would certainly reccomend.

Mr C,

A cute little cottage, very warm, cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. Lovely quiet location with the steam trains passing the garden and hearing lots of owls and other wildlife. Lots of walks from the cottage door and lots of lovely pubs and restaurants in the area. We would love to return.

Mrs B,

We found the cottage excellent, location wonderful even though the weather was not very kind it did not prevent us for enjoying our stay hopefully will return next year.

Miss C,

Great if you like steam trains. Woods opposite excellent for dog walking. Well equipped and comfortable.

Mr B,

Convenient location for getting into Pickering, using the heritage railway for walks etc.

Mr Michael C,

Cottage is in excellent location for exploring the local area and for exercising our dogs on the many walking trails nearby. The cottage was very clean and the furniture was ok, but needed a coffee table or something table like in the living room to stand drinks etc on (we were worried about the possibility of spilling drinks on the sofas). The basic equipment was good but crockery felt very cheap. Couldn't get radiators in bedrooms to come on at all (but living room one worked ok)(not major prob as it was not particularly cold, but could have been worse earlier in the season). Beds were very comfortable, but difficult to get rooms dark with only the slat type blinds fitted (especially at rear of property), so kept getting woken up at 5am by the daylight. These small niggles make the cottage seem less value for money, appreciate that the full occupancy would have been 5 persons and there was only the two of us. For us it felt reasonably spacious but suspect it would feel quite tight for five adults.

Mr Kelvin P,

kept up to date every step of the way, excellent communication. Cottage was beautiful.very welcoming, warm and comfortable. Everything we needed. Secure garden with great views of the passing steam trains. Lovely walks into Pickering.Easy access to the coast and surrounding countryside. Highly recommend.

Mr N B,

Perfect location spotless and well equipped

Mrs Lynn Y,

Only reason for mark down is performance of shower. Otherwise everything else superb don’t let the shower put you off this place is great and will look to book again.

Mr Darren H,

Never had any problems when booking through you

Mrs Rita M,

We have visited the property before so knew what to expect. Many of the extras we had before such as games and vieos were missing. I assume this was due to covid! The location of the property made it difficult to walk the dog but overall a very enjoyable week.
