Description

Penlu is a modern purpose-built apartment located in an elevated position, close to the centre of town. No 5 is on the second floor and has the benefit of a lift, allocated parking space and sea views. Perfect!

Decorated throughout to a very high standard, a warm welcome awaits you in this attractive and comfortable two bed apartment. The open plan living/dining room feels light and spacious, the floor to ceiling half turret windows commands superb views down to the town centre and out to sea beyond; great for watching the world go by.  

The apartment has been thoughtfully presented throughout with beautiful local artwork, stylish furnishing and great attention to detail in every room. On entrance there’s space for coats and shoes, a hallway leads you to the light and airy living/dining room with a comfortable L shaped sofa and large flat screen TV, the dining table is ideally situated by the unusual circular bay windows, allowing you to dine with a view.

Just off the living room, the stylish kitchen with built in appliances and under counter lighting has plenty of space and is well equipped with all you need to enjoy a break at the seaside.

Across the hallway, there are two bedrooms comprising of a master bedroom with king size bed with en-suite shower room, plus a twin bedroom with 2 ft 6 zip and link beds that can be joined to make a king size.

There is an additional good-sized modern family bathroom with shower over bath, allowing plenty of space and comfort for a group of four.

A quick 5 minute walk from Penlu will take you to the town centre with its vibrant mix of independent retailers, restaurants and galleries. Not to mention of course the beautiful sandy beach and Victorian Pier. Durlston Castle and Country Park is less than a mile away, as is the South West coastal path leading along the majestic Jurassic Coast.

A beautifully presented flat, very comfortable with lots of local artwork and personal touches that we liked such as diffusers and books and DVDs in the lounge. We loved the view over Swanage bay to Ballard Down from the lounge window. Considering it is 5 minutes from the centre of Swanage the flat was surprisingly quiet. The only downside is that Taunton Road is a steep hill so this flat is not suitable for anyone who would struggle with that.

A beautiful, quiet and spotlessly clean flat. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The location at the top of a steep hill didn’t bother us, we were quite happy with the views! Parking in Swanage is a nightmare but good parking at the flat. Such a beautiful, comfortable apartment.
