Description

Westview is a modern property facing Middleton Moor, and looking out over the surrounding fields. It is a spacious, comfortable and well equipped house, beautifully furnished, with a welcoming woodburner. It has a private outside seating area and enclosed good sized south facing garden, with parking space onsite for two cars.

This property is a great destination for a Suffolk countryside escape, ideal for country walks, cycling and exploring historical sites. Nearby Middleton is a beautiful village with a medieval church, lovely village green, a popular traditional thatched pub and rich local life. Picturesque and secluded, it is one of Suffolk’s best kept secrets. If you’re looking for a coastal town to discover you’re spoilt for choice. Both Southwold and Aldeburgh are both an easy drive away. Dunwich is even closer, a ten minute drive by car, or peaceful forty minute walk across the heath and bird watchers will find RSPB Minsmere only a ten minute drive away. Snape Maltings, should you want to balance seaside, walks and bird-watching, with music and art, is also an easy drive.

The Westview front door opens into the hallway, with downstairs toilet, coat hanging and storage for walking boots. The hall leads to the large south facing kitchen / dining room In all seasons, the bi-folding doors to the garden and large windows bring the outside in, so you can really make the most of the famous Suffolk light. The sitting room is a comfortable place to relax in with a focal point woodburner to take the chill off cooler days and nights (although the underfloor heating to the wooden floor keeps the room as cosy as you like). In addition to a smart TV with access to online services, there is a DVD player with an extensive collection of all age DVDs.

The all electric modern kitchen is fully fitted with built in fridge / freezer, double ovens, washing machine / drier, and dishwasher with plenty of worktop space. All overlooking the back garden. The spacious attached dining area also looks out to the garden with wide bi-fold doors to the sun trap patio, allowing seamless and effortless al-fresco dining on sunny summer days.

Westview has three spacious bedrooms on the first floor; a large double bedroom with en suite shower room, a twin bed room, and a single room with 2'6 bed (and space for a travel cot). In addition there is a family bathroom, with bath with hand-held shower attachment.

Reviews

A lovely property, well situated, warm and exceptionally well equipped. Recommended.

Miss C,

Loving the area we decided to rent West View for a family birthday celebration. We visited the Food Museum, and the amazing Emmerdale farm shop, two members did the Sizewell park run and we took our dog on lots of walks. The neighbours were very friendly and the house was clean and toasty warm, perfect for our family.

Mr W,

A great base for exploring the Suffolk coast. The family booked a week over Christmas and had a great time. The property ticks all the boxes with location, facilities and cleanliness. We look forward to booking again in the summer.

Mr J,

Thoroughly enjoyed Westview, the property was better internally than we'd expected - a little road noise from being so close to a main route but not that it detracted from our stay. Good equipment levels, warm house and comfy setting - great break

Mr Andrew H,

Overall, a lovely, well positioned property. We found the bifold doors in the kitchen heavy to open and close which meant, in winter, one might let out more heat than ideal. Also, we always had to enter the property through the front door and could not walk from the car, through the back garden and into the house without one of us having first gone in through the front door to open the bifold doors. The grass had not been cut before we arrived which made it harder for us to clean up after our dog. We would have liked a couple of small, lidded dishes for cooking things in the microwave. These are all small niggles but for £800 per week it needs reporting. The property is well placed to visit local attractions and, although it is on a main road, we didn't find that too bothersome.
