Description
A welcoming and comfortable home, nestled in unspoilt countryside not far from the Suffolk Coast, Willow Farm is found in the peaceful village of Eastbridge which neighbours the RSPB Misnmere nature reserve. This two-storey period property boasts a gorgeous rural setting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and yet still has many amenities accessible on foot; a pub, Dunwich beach, the heaths and the RSPB Minsmere Visitor Centre with café are all found within 1.5 miles. Right from the doorstep there are countless paths and trails to be explored. If you’d like to peruse museums, shops and markets, listen to live music and feast on fine fish and chips, you can take a 6-mile drive to the seaside town of Aldeburgh — you’ll also find a golf course and the beach of Thorpeness en route. Or pay a visit to the fantastic ruins of Leiston Abbey, 2 miles away, or travel a little further inland to the 12th-century fortress of Framlingham Castle, 13 miles distant. There are an abundance of fantastic seaside villages, towns, and beaches all within an easy drive or cycle away.
Packed with rustic charm and period features, this cottage is a truly welcoming retreat. The lounge and dining room both have exposed timber ceiling beams and antique furniture. The lounge also has plush sofas and a delightful wood burner set in a brick fireplace. A choice of seating areas in the dining room gives the option of socialising at the farmhouse dining table or catching up with some work at the desk. The bright and spacious kitchen and utility room are accessed via a farmhouse door from the dining room. A shower room completes the ground floor. Heading upstairs, three light and contemporary bedrooms await. The Master double and the twin are set under the eaves and the beds sit under exposed beams. The third bedroom, a second double, provides comfortable accommodation and captures the morning sunshine on fine days. The first floor is complete with bathroom offering the choice of a relaxing bath or an invigorating shower.
The fully enclosed gardens are found to the front and side of the property, enclosed with hedging and fencing. An area is laid to gravel, with a bistro set for two, whilst the majority of the garden is laid to lawn with plenty of space to enjoy. The garden boasts the unusual features of a well (covered for safety) and an old smokehouse. Garden furniture is provided and a BBQ for those warmer days or evenings.
