Lych Gate Cottage is a charming cottage, set just back from the road on the outskirts of St Clears, 3.5 miles from Laugharne and 8 miles from Pendine Sands. As the name suggests, the cottage stands alongside the church lych gate and there are views from the enclosed rear garden towards the church and the countryside beyond.
The cottage has full central heating throughout and WiFi is available. With a ground floor bedroom, wet room, level access at the front and ramped access to the rear patio, the cottage is also suitable for guests with limited mobility.
Ground Floor:
Sitting Room: with laminate flooring, comfortable seating, Smart TV and Blu-ray player, patio doors to the garden. Glazed double doors open into the
Kitchen Diner: well fitted kitchen with electric oven and gas hob with extractor hood over, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Dining table and eight chairs.
Bedroom 1: with zip and link beds (can be made up as twin or super king size – please specify at time of booking).
Wet Room: shower area, WC, basin, grab rails, extractor fan.
First Floor:
Bedroom 2: with king size bed.
En Suite: shower cubicle, WC and basin, extractor fan.
Bedroom 3: with three single beds.
En Suite: bath with shower over, WC, basin, extractor fan.
Outside: to the rear is a good sized, enclosed garden with lawn, shrub and flower borders and raised patio area with garden furniture. Views over the churchyard to the countryside beyond.
Parking: bollarded private parking area to the front for 2 or 3 cars.
Lych Gate Cottage is situated just out of the town of St Clears, yet within easy walking distance (half a mile) of the town’s facilities, including shops, pubs and restaurants; the nearest pub is just 50 metres from the cottage! There are lovely riverside walks nearby and it is just 3.5 miles to the historic town of Laugharne, where you can visit the Church, Laugharne Castle and Dylan Thomas’ Boathouse overlooking the Taf Estuary. The famous Pendine Sands are just 8 miles to the south and it is 8.5 miles to the stunning Llansteffan Castle, on the Towey Estuary. The popular Pembrokeshire beaches of Saundersfoot and Tenby, and attractions such as Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo are all within a 20 mile drive.
