Parking on gravel with a slate path to property and up two steps into the cottage. The property is on one level except for a step down into the kitchen. The property is carpeted throughout with rugs in the living room. There are quarry tiles in the kitchen, and a warning strip has been provided to highlight the change from tiles to carpet. There is a superking size bedroom. The bathroom has a bath, shower, WC and basin with handrail fitted by WC, and a handrail on the wall which can be used by shower or bath user. The bath is low and can be stepped into quite easily. The property would not be considered suitable for a wheelchair user due to the doors being narrow. However it would suit a person with a mobility difficulty. The property is well lit throughout and has a good deal of natural lighting. The walls are light colours with wooden doors and frames. The TV has remote control. There is a payphone available.

Description

Wishing Well is a lovely little cottage for two, in a group of three, situated opposite the owners’ farmhouse in a quiet, rural location within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is a short drive or about 20 minutes’ walk by footpath and lanes to the pretty coastal village of Little Haven, with its three pubs and small beach (dogs welcome all year round) and a similar distance to Broad Haven, with village shop and other facilities, and a long sandy beach (dog restrictions apply to half the beach from May to September). This is an excellent location for touring the coastline and the many interesting villages, Castles and other attractions of central Pembrokeshire.

Accommodation in the cottage, which is all on one level, comprises:

Living Room: a spacious room with beamed ceiling and quarry tiled floor, some exposed stone walls, woodburning stove, leather sofa and armchair, dining table and chairs, TV with BluRay/DVD player.

Kitchen: Well fitted with modern units, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

Bedroom: Comfortably furnished with pine built-in clothes storage, super king size bed. Attractive exposed stone wall.

Bathroom: Bath with shower over, WC and basin.

Outside: Parking on the yard to the front of the cottage. Extensive shared, landscaped gardens to the rear, with large pond, seating areas and access to adjacent farmland. Shared laundry facility with token-operated washing machine and tumble dryer.

Wishing Well is in an ideal location for visiting Skomer Island to see seals, puffins and other wildlife. The cathedral city of St David’s is a pleasant 17 mile drive away. There are excellent facilities for water skiing, surfing, sailing, coasteering and other watersports at Dale, Newgale and other coastal towns, as well as a host of quaint little Pembrokeshire fishing villages and to visit. Further afield, the estuary views from the Cleddau Bridge (toll) are impressive and take you on to the colourful harbour town of Tenby and nearby seaside village of Saundersfoot. An ideal location for a peaceful, relaxing holiday with attractions and activities nearby to suit all tastes and interests.

Wishing Well is tucked away in the central corner of this group of three single-storey cottages, which can be booked together as a group to accommodate up to 8 people. Please see Fenton Cottages for full details.

Reviews

A really lovely cosy cottage tucked away from any busy roads. Generous gardens safely fenced and beautiful surroundings. Everything we needed for our stay with stunning beaches to visit close by.

Mrs F,

Wishing Well was just what we wanted, very conveniently sites for visiting most of Pembrokeshire, practical for us and two dogs, clean and well equipped.

Mr W,

This was an ideal cottage for our holiday requirements , everything we wanted and more ! The only downside was the king size mattress was a little too firm for us so if we stay again we’ll take a topper with us

Mr G,

We had a wonderful relaxing break

Mr Peter W,

The toilet had a permanent smell of urine and the bed lumpy. Needed updating. Furniture not very comfortable. We equipped kitchen.

Mrs Christine T,

The location and standard was good. Warm and comfortable we had an enjoyable week.

Mr Martin K,

Settee too small couldn’t get comfortable no cupboards or shelves in bathroom not enough door hooks for coats
