Access Statement

Parking on gravel with a slate path to property and up one step into the cottage. The property is on one level, and is carpeted throughout, with the exception of the kitchen which has quarry tiles. There is a king size or twin bedroom. The bathroom has a bath, WC and basin. The property would not be considered suitable for a wheelchair user due to the doors being narrow. However it would suit a person with a mobility difficulty. The property is well lit throughout and has a good deal of natural lighting. The walls are light colours with wooden doors and frames. The TV has remote control. There is a payphone available.

Description

This single storey cottage, the end one of a group of three converted from stone farm buildings in a quiet, rural location in central Pembrokeshire, is within easy driving distance of many beaches, attractions and activities. The nearest beaches of Little Haven and Broad Haven are also within walking distance, for the more energetic – about 20 minutes by public footpath across fields and country lanes. Fenton Cottages lie within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with many stretches of the waymarked coastline walks to choose from nearby. Little Haven is a picturesque coastal village with three pubs and a pretty beach and Broad Haven has a long, sandy beach, local shop, bar and café.

Shippon is a cosy little cottage for two, with biomass central heating and hot water.

Living Room: with a high beamed ceiling, 40” flat screen TV, Blu Ray/DVD player, woodburning stove, easy seating, dining table and four chairs.

Kitchen: neatly fitted and well equipped, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

Bedroom: A comfortable bedroom with exposed stone walling, pine king size bed (5’), pine bedroom suite and lovely countryside views.

Bathroom: with shower over the bath, WC and basin, shaver light and extractor fan.

Outisde: There is a shared laundry room with washing machine and dryer (token operated); shared landscaped gardens with several seating areas and large pond; access to surrounding farmland; plenty of parking on the yard to the front of the cottages.

Shippon is one of a group of three cottages, which can be booked together as a group to accommodate up to 8 people. Please see Fenton Cottages for full details.

These cottages are situated in an ideal location for touring both the coast and countryside of Pembrokeshire. St David’s, to the north, with its Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace and host of attractive little pubs, shops and galleries, is just 17 miles away, with some lovely beaches and former fishing villages on the way, including Newgale and Solva. Within a few miles of the cottage, to the south west, are several little sandy beaches, Musselwick Sands, Marloes Sands and Dale - good for watersports, as well as the Visitor Centre and boat trips to the wildlife sanctuaries of Skomer and Skokholm Islands, if you hope for sightings of puffins, Manx shearwaters, dolphins and more. For touring, walking or relaxing, this is the perfect location for a holiday or short break at any time of year.
