Access Statement

This new extension has a ground floor kitchen/dining room, lounge and utility room. There is ample parking space outside and the small garden is level. This property is probably unsuitable for wheelchair users as the hallway is narrow and the only bathroom is upstairs on the first floor. The ground floor is light, spacious and uncluttered. The main bedroom, second bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor. The staircase rises fairly sharply with a turn towards the top. The handrail is on the left.

Description

Gwynnant Cottage is a characteful stone cottage, formerlwy the old village tailors shop, in the perfect peaceful location but just 5 miles from  the lovely sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay at Penbryn and Llangrannog and 5 miles north of the market town of Newcastle Emlyn. Explore the Preseli Mountains and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, both within a short drive.

A great central location, this is a fantastic base for anyone wishing to explore the magnificent Ceredigion coast and countryside. Beautiful beaches and coves along Cardigan Bay, such as Poppit Sands, Mwnt,  Llangrannog, Tresaith, Penbryn, Cwm Tydi and the popular hotspot of Aberaeron. Dolphins can often be spotted along the coastline and you can take a boat ride from New Quay to get even closer. Seals and porpoises are regular visitors at different times of the year and can be spotted from the Wales Coastal Path.

For larger groups or families, this property can also be booked alongside Gwynnant House, to sleep a total of 8/9. Ideal for two families or a group of couples or friends. The other property has the added bonus of a hot tub (so could potentially be shared if both properties were booked at the same time), however the gardens are quite separate so do offer privacy.

Reviews

The cottage was a remote one although you hear some cars passing by. But it is generally quiet and a great location. Mynt Beach and one other beach are a short distance drive, so very handy.

Mr De G,

We loved our stay at this cottage, perfect place to escape to, spacious, clean, and cosy. Great location if you want an unwind. In our short time here we visited many places with many places we didn’t have enough time so hopefully we will return.

Mr H,

Lovely little Welsh break in this cosy & clean cottage full of family history. Spacious enclosed garden, generous car parking spot and a quiet and beautiful area to relax in. We'll be back as a young family of 3.

Mrs H,

This cottage was the prefect home for our holiday and it will become our go to from now onwards. It had everything you would have and needed in your own home…best holiday home…thank you to owner for making it so prefect!

Mrs A,

Gwynnant Cottage is a charming property in a lovely rural location. Well-placed for access to nearby county towns and beaches, it is simply furnished but clean. Given recent hikes in holiday rental prices, it offers great value for money.

Mr D,

This has been a wonderful week. The house is quite exceptional and has made us feel at home. Lovely to return in the evening to relax. Area is in a lovely setting that is wonderful to look out in the morning. Countryside and coastline is gorgeous and we have enjoyed the best of it with sunny weather. It was lovely to be welcomed with a box of cakes which was a wonderful gesture and we knew from that point that it was going to be an exceptional week' We hope to book again next year.

Past Customer,

A wonderful week here in this lovely cottage in an idyllic part of the world and in excellent weather. Perfect!

Past Customer,

This is our second time staying at this idyllic cottage, and we will be back for our third stay. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Everyone is very friendly and we enjoyed the homemade cakes and milk for a cuppa very much. The local butcher has excellent meat too. We spent a lot of time on Penbryn beach which is a lovely sandy beach and only about 10 mins drive away - ice creams at the cafe are well worth trying.

Past Customer,

Had a lovely week at this cottage. Although the weather a little grey on a couple of days, we were not restricted and had some relaxing days that were very much needed. The cottage has been an ideal base for us. Thank you so much for the welcome pack. We also loved the sheep!

Past Customer,

Another lovely week in this cottage. I'm sure we will be back again!

Our 2nd stay here - as lovely as the first. Such a lovely well=kept cottage in an area of great natural beauty. We shall remember our second stay here with the same fondness as our first

Past Customer,
