Description

Tredegar is a recently renovated detached house, all on one level, finished to a high standard and in a lovely coastal position near Dyffryn Ardudwy where there are two pubs, a newsagent, village store, cafe and railway station. Views from the rear are out across fields and sand dunes to the sea and vast sandy beach of Morfa Dyffryn, just a short walk to the beach. This is within the Snowdonia National Park, 5 miles to both Barmouth and Harlech.

'hop on the train to Barmouth to enjoy this lovely seaside resort, take your bikes (or walk) across the viaduct over the Mawddach Estuary and continue up the trail towards Dolgellau for stunning views' form Jacky. our local property manager

The Cottage: is spacious and very well looked after, with a lot of attention to detail from the owners’. Gas central heating throughout. Tredegar is suitable for people with limited mobility as there are no steps.

Entrance: the pretty entrance hall has a cloakroom with WC and basin, and storage for outdoor clothing.

The Sitting Room: is a delightful bright and airy room with patio doors to the garden and great views. Good quality laminate flooring throughout. The lounge area has comfortable sofas, flame effect fire and a large flat screen TV/DVD with Sky Freeview, Xbox 1, iPod dock and BT Infinity broadband.

The Dining Room: has a dining table, six chairs and side cabinet.  It can be separated from the sitting room, if preferred, by glazed double doors.  Patio doors lead to the garden.

The Kitchen: the quality fitted kitchen is very well equipped with an electric double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. The separate utility room has a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and access to the garden.

There are three bedrooms, all decorated and furnished to a high standard, all with small flatscreen TVs.

Bedroom 1: this master king size bedroom is nicely styled with a modern comfortable bed, views to the coast and a smart, compact, tiled en suite shower room with WC and Basin.

Bedroom 2: is a double bedroom, again nicely styled, at the front of the cottage, and with a good modern comfortable bed.

Bedroom 3: has an unusual configuration and is either a single or double room. (NOTE: this room can either be a single or has a good quality pull out bed which turns it into a twin or super king size with just enough room to get around the bed.) This room has been thoughtfully furnished to make the most of the available space.

Bathrooms: as well as the ensuite shower room and cloakroom, there is a family bathroom with a bath with shower over, WC and basin.

Exterior: to the rear is a spacious, enclosed lawned garden, backed by field and sand dunes, with a patio area with garden furniture and barbecue. Bike storage available. Plenty of private parking at the front.

Reviews

We have stayed at this beautiful bungalow twice now. It is exceptional in every way. The owner genuinely cares that this property has everything to have a lovely relaxing holiday. The location for us is perfect. Beach and countryside walks on the doorstep. Walking distance of couple of good pubs in neighbouring villages. Supermarket and take out available in village. Train and bus service. It would be difficult to ever find a holiday property better than Tredegar.

Mrs S,

Absolutely loved the property couldn't fault it, very clean and comfortable everything you could possibly want was provided and more. The wine and Welsh cakes were a lovely touch can't wait to go back next year.

Mrs H,

We had a lovely stay, the bungalow is beautiful, we had everything we needed and more. It was spotless clean, very well equipped and comfortable. We will definitely book again.

Mrs W,

Property was excellent clean tidy a real home from home !! Cottage was very well equipped couldn’t fault it

Mr S,

Wonderful property. Great location. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Fully enclosed garden - safe for our dog. Will visit again.

Mrs E,

This is a really spacious and comfortable property. We had two weeks of wonderful weather in February and it was lovely to return to a warm and relaxing place after some wonderful walks. I would definitely recommend.

Mrs K,

Wonderful property, fantastic location close to beach only 15mins walk, lovely shop in village, lots of walks from doorstep, immaculate inside/outside, would highly recommend.

Mr H,

Tredegar was a fabulous property. Spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Good location about a mile from beach. Enclosed garden. Great views to the dunes and the sea.

Mrs Q,

We have had many holiday rentals and Tredegar is probably the best equipped holiday home we have ever had. Every detail has been thought of, and everything you are likely to need has been provided, even consumables such as dishwasher tablets and cling film. The house was spotlessly clean, again, probably the best we have ever had. Add to this the excellent location near to beaches and countryside, and with Snowdon a manageable drive for a day out, there is no shortage of thnigs to do in the area.

Mrs V,

Location

7 things to do from on the Cambrian coastline, Dyffryn Ardudwy, Harlech and Barmouth

1 – Summer or winter the vast sandy beaches along this section of the coastline are always stunning. The view from the road above can simply take your breath away as you look down across the sands to the distant mountains of Snowdonia beyond.

2-  Take a scenic journey on the Cambrian Coast main line railway, lovely in either direction, or walk sections of the coastline and get the train back. There’s a station at Dyffryn Ardudwy, Harlech and Barmouth

3- Cycle a section of Lon Las Cymru (Route 8), a long-distance cycle way stretching from Holyhead the length of Wales to Cardiff. Beware of the section in the hills behind Harlech though, its on very seep lanes!

4- A visit to Harlech and its castle is a must. The castle is looked after by CADW and there are events on throughout the year. The village itself has some lovely cafes, my favourites are Llew Glas and Harlech Castle café, both serving delicious homemade food.

5- The Rhinog mountains behind the coast are known as one of the last remaining wilderness areas in Britain. One of the more popular walks is up the ‘Roman Steps’ from Cwm Bychan. Another is a visit to the Nantcol river and waterfalls, great for swimming if the weather is warm.

6-  Barmouth is a thriving seaside resort with a vintage seaside atmosphere of candyfloss, ice creams and donkey rides. The beach is great, there’s a small fun fair during the summer, and the town itself has plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Boat trips and canoe and SUP hire can also be arranged here.

7- Within an hour drive you can visit many of the most popular attractions of north Wales; including Portmeirion Italianate village, the West Highland and Ffestiniog steam Railway, Zip World zip wires and Bounce Below underground trampolines at Blaenau Ffestiniog and the mountains of Snowdonia for walks or the train up Snowdon itself.
