Description

Ysgubor Wen is a newly renovated cottage, a 15-minute walk from Llanrwst, in the stunning Conwy valley. This former outbuilding has been lovingly restored to a high standard, with a double height open plan living space, convenient ground floor bedroom and shower room, and a gorgeous sunny patio to relax or dine al fresco, in this lovely rural location. Footpaths lead from the door across fields to the market town of Llanrwst, with shops and plenty of good places to eat. This is a perfect location for exploring the Snowdonia National Park, with gentle strolls or mountain adventures all on your doorstep. There are fantastic mountain bike trails close by and lakes and rivers to explore or swim in. Adventure Parc Snowdonia and Zip World Fforest adventures are a short drive away.

For larger groups or families, this property can also be booked alongside Beudy Bach (WAG696) to sleep a total of 7 people.

The Cottage: is light and airy, with underfloor heating and wooden flooring throughout. The owners live nearby and are on hand to help you make the most of your holiday.  Access to the cottage is down a well-maintained single-track road.

Living Dining Room: this open plan space has two comfortable sofas, Smart tv. DVD player and double doors leading to the patio. The dining area has a table and seating for five.

Kitchen: is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, and integrated oven and hob with extractor over. The island unit allows you to cook and chat with fellow guests seated at the dining table or in the sitting area.

There are three bedrooms; one on the ground floor and two upstairs

Bedroom 1: is a ground floor single with plenty of storage space and a stable door leading to the patio.

Shower Room: is on the ground floor adjacent to the single bedroom. This modern room has a large shower enclosure, WC, basin and towel rail.

Lovely open wooden stairs lead to the first-floor gallery with two bedrooms, one at either end

Bedroom 2: a double, in the eaves, with two large Velux windows and plenty of storage. There is some height restriction around the sides of the bed. Hairdryer

Bedroom 3: is a twin bedroom in the eaves, with a cute little low-level window. Some restricted head room around the beds.

Outside: the paved patio is enclosed and has patio furniture to relax in. Plenty of parking available for guests

The market town of Llanrwst is a couple of miles away, famous for the much-photographed Ty Hwnt café by the bridge. There is also an award-winning Indian restaurant and plenty of shops and cafes. Walks can be taken along the river. Betws-y-Coed is a short drive away and is known as ‘the gateway to Snowdonia’. The Conwy valley often has much better weather than deeper into the mountains, you are 13 miles from Conwy with its castle, and a little further to the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno.

Mrs W,

A lovely property. Really pleasant stay, great owners - approachable and welcoming but not overbearing. Lovely welcome gift (wine) which went down well. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Mr H,

We had a truly marvellous time in this lovely cottage! A wonderful amount of room for the four of us and a perfect living room where we spent many hours after our adventures in the day playing UNO! The best location as our base to explore the North of Wales and Snowdonia National Park. Thank you for being the loveliest of hosts with your kindness and understanding
