It is completely self-contained, retains many original features and being situated at the rear of the property, has part sea views.The beach is literally across the road and when the tide is out, it is possible to walk to Whitby. It benefits from it's own enclosed small patio area to the side of the property leading off the kitchen.

Lounge: A sunny room with a double bed settee and large bay window with sea views to Whitby Abbey, TV with video, radio/CD player.
Kitchen/Diner: Very spacious room with gas fired AGA with three ovens, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Table and chairs. French doors leading out to the patio

Parking: On street parking or alternatively there is a council car park a few minutes' walk away.

Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times.
Notes: Towels are provided. As the stairs in this property are quite steep it may not be suitable for people with mobility problems. WiFi is not available. Mobile phone signal is variable. No smoking at this property.

Sandsend
Sandsend, one of North Yorkshire's prettiest coastal villages, is set at the foot of Lythe Bank and only a two mile beach walk away from Whitby. Pretty holiday cottages and houses are set in the stunning cliff backdrop. Beneath them is the award winning beach, with streams leading to the sea, perfect for children to have a splash in or feed the ducks. Alternatively a walk in the neighbouring woodlands or along the cliffs is equally as charming. Originally Sandsend was two separate villages, each formed along its own beck, it now stands as one united village. There are interesting shops, an award-winning restaurant, cafes, pubs and an art gallery. With beautiful views of the coastline and its famous historic neighbour, Whitby, it is a truly magical place.
