Description
Situated in the popular village of Sleights near Whitby, Honeypot House is a beautiful period property with an attractive garden to the front, where you can sit and watch the steam trains go by. This large and stylish Victorian house, set over three floors, has a spacious kitchen and dining room, a separate living room, four really good-sized bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are some lovely panoramic views over the village and surrounding hills to be enjoyed from the upper floors. The house has been refurbished and furnished with loving care and offers all modern comforts, yet retains a lot of character and period features such as cast-iron tiled fireplaces and wooden beams.
The property is ideal for families, especially family reunions, and train enthusiasts, and it is pet friendly. Honeypot House is located close to the centre of the village and its shops. It is also near the small and charming village railway station located on the picturesque Esk Valley line where, in addition to passing steam train running between Whitby and Pickering, guests can board local services to access other beautiful villages and walking country across the North York Moors.
Sleights has an award-winning butcher, local bakery, a popular fish & chip shop, grocery store and a vibrant local pub. It is only three miles to Whitby with its sandy beach, the famous Abbey, St Mary’s Church, pretty Pannett Park, Swing Bridge and many attractive and sometimes quirky and unique tearooms, bistros, boutique shops and award-winning seafood restaurants.
