Description

This gem of a cottage situated in the old part of Whitby with its quaint shops is a stones throw from the 199 steps and provides both sea views and very close proximity to the beach.  It is a lovingly restored fisherman’s cottage with the benefit of modern amenities. Ideal for both families and couples in both summer and winter and with the rare benefit of underground private parking.

GROUND FLOOR
Entrance: Into a lounge.
Lounge/Kitchen/Dining Area: Smart TV, traditional gas range fireplace, fridge/freezer, ceramic hob with electric oven and grill, washing machine, microwave, folding table and chairs.

FIRST FLOOR 
Bedroom 1: Double bed, fitted wardrobe, feature fireplace.
Bathroom: Traditional claw foot bath, shower over the bath, vanity unit with washbasin, toilet, heated towel rail.

SECOND FLOOR 
Bedroom 2: Twin beds, chest of drawers, hanging space, open staircase with a door at the bottom of the stairs.

Pets: One pet allowed.
Parking: Nearby off-street secure underground parking.
Garden/Patio: Communal seating area in front of the cottage.
Heating: Gas central heating and gas range.
Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times.
Notes: Towels are provided. Unlimited WiFi is available free of charge. No smoking at this property. There are some fairly steep stairs which may not be suitable for people with mobility problems & toddlers. A travel cot available on request.

Great location, bonus car space although quite a way from the cottage and a very tight space, cosy and traditional with everything you could need.

We loved the location of Doris, right in the heart of whitby.. enjoyed watching the people climbing the steps! The cottage was very cute and it was a very comfortable bed, plenty of equipment for cooking although we didnt use it ! . We had a great holiday and we were quite sad to leave our little cottage! Lovely little cottage right at the foot of the 199 stairs. Great location for walks around Whitby. Car Park location is a little bit from the cottage but it didn’t take anything away from our time.
