Description

This pretty and comfortable modern apartment is situated on the East side of Whitby in the popular development called Whitehall Landing. It offers easy access to the town centre, the famous 199 steps, the Abbey and the Swing Bridge. It has some fantastic Estuary views from the lounge and the double bedroom, it has been furnished and decorated to a high standard and has off-street parking for one car.

Whitby
Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. For a different day out, why not climb the famous 199 steps to reach the ruins of Whitby Abbey. It's said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stokers Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town.

Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch. There's always something happening throughout the town, and festivals and fairs are held throughout the year including Whitby Goth Festival, Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta.

Super efficient check-in with the manager Anni, who had very politely contacted us a few days before our arrival and the day prior to our arrival. Her handover was super helpful and professional. We found the accommodation well situated, very well maintained and very clean, comfortably furnished and extremely well equipped with everything needed for our stay, including a few basics and kitchen essentials. Nice touch! We would have no hesitation in recommending No 9 as a holiday venue, and almost certainly will return in the future.
