Description

This stunning property has been converted to the highest standard offering stylish, modern contemporary living but the true beauty of this gem is its location, situated overlooking Bewl Reservoir. The views are spectacular and if you're wanting to escape to a haven of peace and tranquillity then this is the place. It comes with full use of the owners beautiful garden which sweeps down to the reservoir edge, a wooded area and access on to the circular 13 mile walk round Bewl. Lovingly restored this attached property has a large open plan living with a cosy wood burning stove for those chilly nights. Double french doors lead to a pretty terraced area with table and chairs perfect for enjoying a drink whilst watching the sailing boats and the abundant wildlife and the views from the Juliette balcony in the bedroom are truly breathtaking. Nearby are the attractive towns of Wadhurst and Ticehurst offering local independent craft and vintage stores, cafes and the local pub in Ticehurst The Bell comes highly recommended. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a short drive away and offers more extensive shopping and more dining opportunities. There are golf courses at Dale Hill and Lamberhurst and the area is renowned for its great choice of National Trust properties such as Bodiam and Scotney Castles and gorgeous gardens of Sissinghurst, Pashley Manor and Great Dixter. For the more adventurous there is a Go Ape site in Bedgebury Pinetum which also offers cycling tracks and wonderful walks through the ancient pines.   Shop: 3 miles   Pub: 3 miles   Coast: 26 miles

Reviews

There have been only a few places that we have stayed where we have instantly felt at home , this was one of them. The property is very well equiped, comfortable and clean with lovely views over the water and we are already talking of when can we go back. Considering the very poor weather when we stayed we still had a great time but walking was off the list of activities due to the mud, but there are so local places to visit it didn't detract from our stay. This property is a 10 out of 10 saty in our books.

Mr S,

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The property was spotless and had everything needed for our stay. Well positioned for visiting many National Trust properties, not far from the coast either. The views are amazing over Bewl Water and a lovely walk is available if fancy walking round the reservoir. Helpful and friendly hosts, we hope to return for another holiday.

Mr H,

This property is just amazing. The view is stunning, the finish is spot on, the bedding is high and the shower and bath are just as you would want. Loved evenings in beside the fire and we even cooked a couple of times and found everything we needed in the kitchen.

Mr N,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was exactly what we hoped for! Thank you!

Mrs T,

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and the views were superb. The host was very welcoming and the whole weekend was lovely.

Mrs B,

Absolutely beautiful property, very clean, fixtures and fittings are very high standard, and superb views. The property is very comfortable, everything works as it should and there are no compromises. Wonderful hosts who were very helpful with checking and tips on walks etc. This really is a very special property and made for a very relaxing short break.

Mr G,

Wonderful location and views hidden away in the countryside. A lovely clean and comfy cottage overseen by friendly helpful hosts. Local to lots of National Trust properties and places of interest.

Mrs M,

Excellent location. Well equipped cottage. Spotlessly clean. Easy parking. Fantastic views of Bewl Water. A variety of birds visited the garden! We had a very enjoyable walk around part of Bewl Water to the visitor centre and cafe. Lots of National Trust properties all within a short drive of the property.

Mr C,

Excellent accommodation, best we’ve ever stayed in. All arrangements very smooth

Mrs Carol L,

We don’t give top marks easily but Bewl Water View met all of our hopes and more . It is really the perfect property for us and ticked every box for us . Great views , very comfortable , well designed , top quality furnishings and great hosts .

Mr Terry B,

Outstanding in every way. Couldnt find fault with a thing

Mr David H,

It was the nicest, most luxurious and cleanest cottage/cabin we ever rented and the view was as spectaculair.

Mrs Petra M,

The property is in an idyllic location overlooking Bewl Water and woodland. A true haven of tranquillity. The house is immaculate and the owners are incredibly friendly. We love the area, as there is so much to see and do. This was our second visit and we shall certainly return. Original Cottages were very good.

Mrs Barbara K,

One of the best and nicest holiday cottages we've stayed in.
