Description

Tucked away in a quiet lane just off the centre of Combe Martin village, Treknow is a spacious three bedroomed semi-detached cottage, making a perfect holiday base for getting together with family and friends and for exploring this stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can get away from it all, relax and unwind with village facilities just a few minutes walk. Combe Martin borders onto Exmoor National Park and is within easy driving distance of Lynton and Lynmouth as well as being just a short drive to the fabulous beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton.  Treknow offers  a mixture of  traditional and contemporary furnishings and is surprisingly spacious. On the ground floor a comfortable good sized living room has a bay window offering delightful views across the village towards the hillside beyond and a woodburner in feature fireplace for the cooler seasons. The well equipped kitchen adjoins a large conservatory with dining suite, an ideal space for enjoying meals with family and friends and with French doors leading out into a lawned garden. Three bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor together with an additional shower room on the ground floor makes this property ideal for couples as well as families. Combe Martin is something of a hidden gem and Treknow is perfectly placed to explore the village, beach and surrounding countryside. The sand and shingle cove is ideal for a picnic on the beach or as a launch point for sea kayaking and fishing in the bay, where you may even spot a dolphin or two. Footpaths radiate out from the village along the dramatically craggy coastline heading south to Berrynarbor and north to the impressive Hangman Hills with Exmoor National Park visible in the distance. The South West Coastal Path and local countryside offer a range of walks from easy to challenging. Reviews

Very comfortable warm and cosy. Good value. Ideal holiday home.

Mr S,

Within walking distance to the village, beach, shops, pubs and bus routes this is a lovely spacious home from home. Great addition of the downstairs shower room and toilet, with a small outdoor space too. There is a cat that frequently visits (and doesn't hesitate to walk in through any open door) so do bear this in mind if you have allergies or small children.

Miss R,

Thank you for such a comfortable stay in such a lovely part of the country. This felt like a home away from home. We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Past Customer,

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your lovely cottage, we have had a lovely week away here. It was lovely being visited by the local cat everyday who was very friendly. Fantastic views of hangman's hill while relaxing in the conservatory. It was a lovely surprise to find milk and biscuits along with tea and sugar.

Past Customer,

Large, warm and welcoming home. The Pack of Cards has very good food. Many things to visit - valley of the rocks, Lynton and Lynmouth. Please use the bars service.
