Description
Tucked away in a quiet lane just off the centre of Combe Martin village, Treknow is a spacious three bedroomed semi-detached cottage, making a perfect holiday base for getting together with family and friends and for exploring this stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can get away from it all, relax and unwind with village facilities just a few minutes walk. Combe Martin borders onto Exmoor National Park and is within easy driving distance of Lynton and Lynmouth as well as being just a short drive to the fabulous beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton. Treknow offers a mixture of traditional and contemporary furnishings and is surprisingly spacious. On the ground floor a comfortable good sized living room has a bay window offering delightful views across the village towards the hillside beyond and a woodburner in feature fireplace for the cooler seasons. The well equipped kitchen adjoins a large conservatory with dining suite, an ideal space for enjoying meals with family and friends and with French doors leading out into a lawned garden. Three bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor together with an additional shower room on the ground floor makes this property ideal for couples as well as families. Combe Martin is something of a hidden gem and Treknow is perfectly placed to explore the village, beach and surrounding countryside. The sand and shingle cove is ideal for a picnic on the beach or as a launch point for sea kayaking and fishing in the bay, where you may even spot a dolphin or two. Footpaths radiate out from the village along the dramatically craggy coastline heading south to Berrynarbor and north to the impressive Hangman Hills with Exmoor National Park visible in the distance. The South West Coastal Path and local countryside offer a range of walks from easy to challenging. A good selection of pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops can be found on the mile long walk down the High Street to the picturesque beach, flanked by its rock pools.
