Description

The Mews is a lovely ground floor holiday apartment in a sheltered spot behind the bustling High Street of Southwold. This holiday home has the added benefit of private parking and is also just a short walk to desired amenities and of course the Blue Flag beach. 

The Mews is perfectly suited to couples and companions of all ages being a single storey, ground level apartment. Approaching the apartment the exterior presents very well with planters each side of the entrance door bringing a welcoming element to your final destination. 

The entrance door into the apartment takes you into the sitting room with wood flooring and quality soft furnishings. There is plenty of seating choice for two with the room providing two sofas complete with a footstool for each. A wall mounted television and CD/Radio player are the perfect finishing touch for relaxing. The kitchen diner has a modern finish with soft close units and all self-catering necessities supplied. A sliding door from this area takes you to a small utility area with a washing machine and hooks for coats. An additional door from the sitting room leads you to the comfy twin bedroom. The spacious En-suite Shower Room is a real ‘wow’ and a large shower cubicle is provided with a double head shower along with a vanity unit. Underfloor heating throughout this delightful Southwold apartment keeps guests warm and cosy.

Whilst there is no private outside space guests can take advantage of the planter seating at the front of the apartment – be it for breathing in the fresh seaside air or enjoying a morning cup of coffee. Shop: 50 yards Pub: 100 yards.

Southwold Central - The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocer with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!

We were lucky enough to get a ‘meet and greet’ from the owner which was nice to be shown the workings of appliances etc. The owners left a very generous amount of provisions, much more than would normally be expected. We couldn’t fault the cleanliness. Location very convenient for shops, beach and places to eat. All in all a very pleasant experience!

A lovely small flat in the centre of Southwold. Clean and well cared-for, ideally suited for two people. Parking space in a quiet gated close. Shops and bars are literally just around the corner. The owner takes a personal interest in the let and is not just some anonymous landlord. We would return without hesitation.

We chose the the apartment as it is all on one level, Mel the owner met us on arrival and run through how everything worked and ran through where everything was and also if we had any problems to ring him which we thought was nice touch, the apartment dosent have much outlook, but we knew that, it is cosy, my wife currently has some mobility issues but she could get about quite easily and it is situated just behind the high street which makes it very convenient for the many shops and pubs etc, and not to far to the beautiful sandy beaches and pier. PS.the apartment comes with its own designated parking space which really is a must in Southwold.
