Description
This attractive yellow cottage with dormer windows is the perfect retreat for small families enjoying a holiday by the sea and for exploring the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Southwold Beach is just 1.5 miles away, easily reached on the local bus that stops 50 metres from the cottage. Here, you’ll find the quintessential English seaside resort with a glorious sandy beach, brightly-coloured beach huts and a Victorian pier. It’s excellent country for walking too – try the walk of just under 5 miles from the cottage to Covehithe where there’s another beach: this one a haven for birds. Treat the children to a day at Southwold Maize Maze, 1.5 miles away, with its zip-line, jumping pillows and, of course, the maze.
Enter the cottage through the pretty porch to find well presented accommodation throughout. The sitting room has lovely wooden floors and is decorated in neutral tones with colourful art on the walls. The comfortable sofa is perfect for relaxing in front of the TV. There’s a dining table and chairs looking out onto the courtyard through large French windows. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything at hand for holiday cooking. There’s a handy WC on the ground floor, too. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a wrought iron bedstead and charming blue accents in the lampshades, curtains and blinds. The bright second bedroom has a cheerful red, white and blue theme and twin beds. A modern family bathroom completes the picture.
Outside is a very private paved courtyard, fully enclosed, where you’ll find a table and chairs, and a parasol for those sunny days. Shop: 0.4 miles Pub: 0.5 miles Beach: 1.6 miles

Teal Cottage is perfectly placed for keen ramblers to explore the numerous footpaths close by including the popular Reydon Woods as well as scenic cycling routes to the nearby villages of Wangford or Cove Hithe.
If you're looking for nearby accommodation for two then Tilly's Place in lovely neighbouring seaside town of Southwold makes a fantastic couples retreat. The properties benefit from being a 30 minute stroll or 5 minute drive apart.

Reydon is only divided from Southwold by Buss Creek, a narrow stretch of water where the fishing boats (busses) of long ago used to tie up. All properties therefore have easy access to beaches and town centre amenities by road and various footpaths. Reydon boasts two well-stocked village stores, as well as the Randolph Hotel which has an excellent restaurant and good locals' bar.
