Description

If you are looking for a holiday cottage with a difference, then look no further!  Formerly a grain store, the property has been cleverly converted to provide spacious, modern, upside down accommodation.  The open plan sitting/dining room on the first floor has four windows to make the most of the lovely views across the surrounding countryside.  The property is situated next to a private airfield so you can sit out on the private patio, watch the occasional light aircraft come and go and just enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lovely rural setting, or head out with your dog across the owners fields and local footpaths. Nearby is the pretty village of Sedlescombe with its popular local pub and village shop.  There are plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area including the local organic vineyard, the historic town of Battle with its famous 1066 battlefield and abbey and the seaside town of Hastings.  The Corn Bin is the ideal base for exploring the numerous historic properties and gardens in the area and there is a good local golf club if you fancy being a bit more active!

Reviews

The accommodation was lovely. Very spacious and warm.

Mrs S,

Lovely and peaceful unique place to stay. The Corn Bin was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our week away. Left feeling refreshed.

Mrs A,

Lovely place and peaceful even the odd private small aircraft didn’t spoil the peacefulness. Nice to be able to walk straight from property with dog. Be aware that there are a lot of wild rabbits and some of the fields have sheep. Courtyard not dog secure. Property is spacious and comfortable.

Mrs A,

If you are looking for something a little quirky the Corn Bin fits the bill. Set in beautiful country side with lots of walks for the dog. The planes really do not bother you so it is very peaceful. Ideal for exploring the history associated with East Sussex. Lots of farm shop around for the excellent Sussex cheese and apple juice. Fridays there is a farmers market at nearby by Brede. Our only slight negative was the size of the towels.. but too small!

Mr R,

Spacious property, very peaceful. Great area to explore.

Mrs H,

After an initial problem with the cottage not being ready for us on our arrival well after 5 pm we were very happy with the accommodation. We received first class assistance from Sophie (who I believe may have a connection with the cottage) so overall our stay was very good.

Ms Katharine W,

Quirky little getaway ideal for a couple wanting some chill out time. Good location for Battle and Hastings highly recommended
