Description

Sugarloaf Cottage takes its name from the woods in which it stands looking out over the most incredible views towards the Ashdown Forest. Astonishingly quiet and secluded - just the birdsong to break the silence - yet close to neighbouring farm house, barn and Oast, the location is simply breathtaking. The nearby village of Brightling is famous for its collection of fascinating follies, built by the eccentric Victorian squire, John 'Mad Jack' Fuller. They include the Needle, the Observatory, and the Sugarloaf - rumoured to be the result of a bet that Fuller lost! They are all  on your doorstep.

Reviews

Quiet rural location but a short drive to amenities. Love the wildlife. Had a great time, thanks.

Mr M,

Everything was as it should have been. One point for owner. The base of the wash basin unit requires anti-fungal spray to remove black deposits.

Mr Michael H,

Beautiful cottage. Very well kept and equipped. I would stay there again

Mrs Y,

Very comfortable property and good location for visiting the area. Single track road to property so be aware as limited passing places.

Mrs J,

Had everything. Wanted somewhere private and secluded - ?. Accessible to quiet coastal areas, Batemans and Bodiam Castle, - ?. Light, airy, accommodation - ?. Lovely private garden and patio - ?. Beautiful, comfortable accommodation - ?. Highly recommend.

Mr Kevin H,

The location of the property was perfect, it was clean and comfortable. There were a couple of things that whilst not spoiling our stay we left a note about for the owners. These included the washing machine being broken and the fact that the website said that there was a BBQ which we could not locate
