Description

South Street Farm is close to the beating heart of thriving Braunton. This delightful home blends contemporary decor with many of the original farmhouse features. There is a roomy open plan living area in three distinct parts including a spacious dining area, fully equipped kitchen and cosy lounge with an attractive woodburner. Two separate staircases lead up to the three first floor bedrooms, which are served by two bathrooms, one featuring a stylish claw-footed, double-ended bath. There is a fully enclosed drive alongside the cottage with parking for two cars and a seating area with patio furniture for al fresco dining. A portion of the garage is available for bike storage.

Braunton has a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops. It is also home to the Braunton and District Museum, the Braunton Countryside Centre and the Museum of British Surfing. At the heart of what is said to be England's most biodiverse parish, Braunton Burrows is abundant with richly varied wildlife. First-time visitors to the Burrows are amazed by the scale of the sand dunes that gives them their name. The Tarka Trail, a footpath and cycle trail built along the route of the old railway line, runs through Braunton. A short drive takes you to Croyde, where the beach is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment

Reviews

Prefect location and well maintained property. Very comfortable stay.

Mr T,

We loved staying at South Street Farm. It’s a lovely centrally located cottage. It was perfect for the 5 of us, with a large living area with 2 big sofas. It was great to have 2 bathrooms. Beds were super comfy and the large bath sheets were very nice. We would definitely stay again.

Mrs W,

Lovely cosy house with all you need plenty of room for all the family we were so comfortable we didn't want to go out.

Mrs B,

Perfect location and fabulous property. Will be coming back !!

Mr T,

We honestly could not have asked for a better holiday home for our week in Devon. We travelled with elderly parents and young children and your home was perfect for both. We had the very best time and will definitely be booking again. I have to admit I am so fussy about cleanliness and this is the first holiday home I have been 100% comfortable with from day one. A truly fantastic stay, Thank you so much. X

Mr K,

The property has damp problems, it even has mould forming in places. The shower room needs to be refurbished, the shower unit is falling apart. The base 'wobbles' when you stand on it, the shower head keeps falling from it's cradle and the door panels are partially off their runners.

Mr Bernard B,

We have stayed at this house before and find it very comfortable. Would have appreciated check out instructions earlier as we were always planning on leaving 24 hours before our official check out

Mrs Cath G,

The properties are always as described and comfortable. Some times, there are no oven gloves, which we think is a necessity. We always take our own, just in case!

Mr Lionel E,

Lovely cottage close to wedding venue. Well equipped, lovely and clean with lots of hot water. Nick was very helpful allowing us to stay an extra hour on the morning we left.

Mrs Sharon B,

Found this property to be very well equipped, had everything we needed and some nice additional touches not expected. Very comfortable.
