Reviews

A lovely cottage in a quiet location just 5 minutes from the centre of Woodbridge. Comfortably furnished with excellent guidelines from the owner which made us feel very welcome. A relaxing vibe.

Mrs H,

The White Cottage is a wonderful place to rent, both as a base to explore Woodbridge and Suffolk, and is a really comfortable and elegant place to hang out. It was super clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for a family of four. The location is excellent - very quiet, but a three minute walk from the shops. The kitchen is well-equipped and easily big enough, while our boys loved the gas coal-effect fire. Woodbridge itself is very beautiful and surrounded by glorious walks. We did day trips to Southwold and Framlingham but really enjoyed exploring Woodbridge itself. Can't recommend the White Cottage highly enough.

Mr S,

What a lovely light and warm cottage for a winter break. Cottage is well equipped and centrally located. Great pubs in the town in which to dine. A very easy cottage to like!

Mr H,

Welcoming, cosy and everything to hand. Clean decor and central to town.

Previous Customer,

We had a fantastic two weeks at White Cottage. We were lucky enough to be there during a heatwave and having the beautiful shaded garden to relax in was a real bonus. The cottage is extremely comfortable, well equipped, spacious and homely. The owner was very helpful and we appreciated the welcoming touches and the household supplies (washing up liquid, toilet paper, kitchen roll, tin foil, salt and pepper etc) which were provided. White Cottage felt like a real home from home and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent holiday accommodation in Woodbridge.

Ms S,

Perfect location, peaceful.5 minute walk into a thriving town full of independent shops. Cottage had everything you need and perfect for us with two dogs.

Mrs P,

A very comfortable cottage in a great location. White cottage was everything we’d hoped for and more - it is the best equipped rental we’ve stayed in over the years. No supermarket visits needed to buy missing essentials. It was all there for us. Ideal for our dog both inside and out.

Mr B,

It had been a very enjoyable stay for my parents and I in Woodbridge. White Cottage is a lovely, elegant house, cosy and in a great location. We had everything we needed. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful. Our visit included a trip to Sutton Hoo with its fascinating history and interesting landscape. Woodbridge itself is full of charm and character. A wonderfully relaxing place to be, surrounded by history. Our dog really enjoyed White Cottage too! Thank you very much.

Christine & Family,

We had a wonderful week over new year at White Cottage. The owner has provided everything you need for a comfortable and homely stay, including some lovely extras (wine, milk, cookies etc) that you don’t often get. We will definitely be returning soon!

Miss Claire R

Location

Woodbridge is a historic town of great character situated on the River Deben. Its charm lies in the many narrow picturesque streets of fine houses and cottages, the river, the famous Tide Mill, the ancient buildings around the Market Hill and the fine Church. Woodbridge has an interesting shopping centre, with many specialist shops, good restaurants, and pubs, together with art galleries, antique shops, the town museum and an excellent cinema/theatre, large recreation areas and an indoor heated swimming pool. With the benefit of a train station, guests can arrive from London Liverpool Street in under 2 hours. Woodbridge is perfectly located to enjoy both the Suffolk Coast and Countryside, with coastal towns such as Aldeburgh and Thorpeness an easy drive away and popular countryside locations such as Rendlesham Forest nearby too. Woodbridge also benefits from being just a short drive from some fascinating historical locations such as the National Trust sites of Sutton Hoo and Orford Ness.
