Description
This converted self-catering cottage is situated within the owner’s grounds only a short walk from the charming Suffolk village of Snape. Beautifully appointed accommodation creates a snug and cosy environment for couples or companions of all ages to enjoy a getaway close by to the Suffolk coast.
Inside, this single storey cottage has been lovingly furnished and large French doors and windows allow plenty of natural light to pour through. You are welcomed into the open plan room which has a large woodburning stove – an ideal accessory for autumnal breaks. This room is a great place to relax, dine and enjoy time together. After a busy day sightseeing you can return to the comfort of your bedroom where there’s the option of having the room made as a twin bedded room or alternatively a king size bedroom. There is also a handy En-Suite with fully-tiled shower cubicle.
Tui Cottage has the added benefit of its own private garden which is fully fenced and therefore a great place for your four-legged friend to enjoy the outdoors. In addition to the lawn there is also a small patio area with garden furniture supplied. Here guests can enjoy the stunning field views whilst dining al-fresco in the summer season.
Snape itself is home to the arts with the Snape Maltings complex hosting concerts and exhibitions with an on-site restaurant, cafes and independent shops. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there’s plenty to explore in Snape including an abundance of footpaths and cycle routes. Simply leave the car at your cottage and immerse yourself in the beauty countryside.
For lovers of the coast the popular town of Aldeburgh is less than six miles away – sampling award winning fish ‘n’ chips is a must! There are plenty of independent shops and cafes to discover or for retail therapy on a larger scale head over to the market town of Woodbridge which is just over 10 miles away and is positioned along the River Deben.
Tui Cottage and Kakapo Lodge are situated within the same grounds and can be booked together to accommodate four guests. Shop: 1.4 miles Pub: 1.4 miles.

Snape is best known as the venue for the Aldeburgh Festival and for other events throughout the year held in the Maltings Concert Hall. However, the pretty village, at the head of the tidal estuary, is a popular holiday venue in its own right and central for exploring the unique area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast – the tidal estuary and network of footpaths are one of the most interesting areas of Suffolk for exploring on foot. There is easy access to the fascinating coastal town of Aldeburgh, plus castles and much more to explore at Framlingham and Orford. The burial treasures at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge, should not be missed also.
