It is also famous for Orford Ness National Nature Reserve and Havergate Island, both a delight for ornithologists and nature lovers. Sailing and boat trips are available on the River Ore, with country walks in Rendlesham Forest. It is only nine miles from the beach at Aldeburgh, with the historic towns of Framlingham and Woodbridge and the world-famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall also within easy reach.

Reviews

A lovely little cottage in a great location.

Mr C,

Very cosy cottage, well-equipped and comfortable. Going in early December, the efficient heating was appreciated, as was the hose in the back yard for cleaning very muddy boots. Both Orford and Framlingham castles were closed on weekdays when we were there but the local pubs were open and we enjoyed trips to Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings.

Ms R,

We thought the property was delightful. It was extremely comfortable and warm as well as being well equipped.
