Description

In the heart of Orford and just a couple of seconds from the famous Pump Street Bakery, The Lobster Pot should be your next go-to self catering cottage in Suffolk. Lovingly refurbished throughout to retain its original Victorian features, it is also packed to the brim with all the mod-con's a 21st century holidaymaker could possibly need.
Completely refurbished in 2016, the cottage owners have retained The Lobster Pot's historic features while seamlessly incorporating the best of contemporary design. The ground floor has been opened up to create a spacious sitting room, dining area and kitchen which is both really well equipped and great to cook in. The original flooring has been retained in the sitting room and kitchen with its distinctive old Suffolk white brick.
In the sitting room the homeowners have added curved screen 4K Smart TV holiday makers can access their own Netflix, Amazon prime accounts, iPlayer, ITV Hub, digital radio stations etc. A brand new wood burning stove with warmer above has also been added in this room - perfect for heating up Pump Street Bakery croissants. Top of the range electric radiators throughout makes The Lobster Pot perfect for winter breaks.

Reviews

Lovely cottage. Well equipped.

Mrs C,

Had a wonderful stay at The Lobster Pot which is very centrally located for all of Orford’s amenities. The cottage was very comfortable and well thought out, and we found the local community incredibly friendly and welcoming which really enhanced our visit.

Mrs W,

We have stayed at the Lobster Pot a number of times and are very happy to return for future visits. Its location is excellent - just seconds from the shop, the bakery/cafe and pub - but also very quiet. It is well furnished and very comfortable. The back garden is delightful and very pretty.

Mrs W,

Very comfortable and pleasing property. Well equipped. The only comment to advise others is the steepness of the stairs.

Mrs S,

Great location for all of the villages amenities. Very comfortable, home from home. And it is dog friendly! The only thing I missed from home was the electric kettle! 'lobster Pot' provided an old fashioned singing kettle not ideal , but it did provide boiling water. Hope to be back soon.

Mrs Margaret B,

Comfortable and enjoyable stay. I look forward to returning

Mrs Wendy C,

We love staying at the Lobster Pot - the location is fantastic and it is a very comfortable cottage.

Mrs Tina W,

The Lobster Pot is very comfortable, well-equipped and a great location. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Mrs Clare P,

Footboard on main bed was annoying - husband unable to sleep. We had checked photos before booking and this wasn't shown. Bathroom cabinet in very awkward position - unable to use basin without banging your head. Trip hazard in kitchen - different floor levels.

Mrs Bridget C,

Comfortable and relaxing and very clean accomodation

Mr Steven B,

Excellent service as always, have already booked again with original cottages

Mrs Jaquie S,

The lobster pot is lovely but the bed is too small. It is a small double (advertised as a double) for a couple who are both about 6 ft - we had to sleep in separate bedrooms :-( Please replace with a king size bed and we would return many times. Apart from that we love the place and it feels like a home Thanks Sinead

Mrs Sinead M,

We got exactly what we expected! Incl. feels like home feeling. Perfect holiday!

Ms Nicole H,

This was our third stay at The Lobster Pot - we feel very at home there and it is a great location within Orford.

Mrs Tina W,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; it was lovely to have a note to welcome us and have some basic essentials already supplied. A little haven in a beautiful location.
