Description

This stylish Suffolk holiday cottage has an enclosed garden and parking and it’s within walking distance of Southwold and the beach - the perfect escape!

Scholars Cottage is a cosy and contemporary holiday home in Reydon, adjoining the popular seaside town of Southwold. This pretty rural property is one of a terrace of cottages in a quiet spot. This charming coastal bolthole is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and offers bright and airy accommodation over two floors. The spacious living and dining area has lovely French doors taking you out into the enclosed courtyard garden, complete with table and chairs, this is a lovely spot to sit and relax and for children to play. The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, both beautifully furnished and decorated, perfect for two couples or a family looking for a seaside holiday on the Suffolk coast.

This is a great area for walking and cycling with many footpaths close by which lead to Southwold and the beach, and, if you don’t fancy the idea of walking home you can pick up a bus which will stop just 50 yards away from the property.

Reydon is just one mile from Southwold, a traditional coastal town famous for its pier, lighthouse, pastel coloured beach huts and fabulously fresh seafood! The town has some excellent independent shops, cafes and restaurants, be sure to call in for a pint of the acclaimed Adnams beer in one of the popular pubs.

Shop: 0.4 miles. Pub: 0.5 miles. Footpaths lead to the beach in Southwold.

Why we love this property... the rural location is perfect. Walk to Southwold for a coffee, wander around the stylish shops and build sandcastles on the beach - enjoy!

Reydon boasts two well-stocked village stores, as well as the Randolph Hotel which has an excellent restaurant and good locals' bar.

Reviews

Only real negatives were almost too much equipment in a very small kitchen made it difficult to prepare food -a glass surface saver over the gas rings would have helped. Plus our one-act stated the hours for arrival and departure as 4pm and 10am however a notice displayed in the kitchen said departure was at 9am. Otherwise a lovely cottage in a Beautiful part of Southwold.
