Ravenscar
Ravenscar is a coastal village 10 miles north of Scarborough. It sits on the cliff tops with views of Robin Hoods Bay from the Raven Hall Hotel, and the historic archaeological remains of Peak Alum Works. The Alum works is now a National Trust site but it was once part of an important industry for dyeing and tanning leather. For those interested in walks there are fantastic coastal routes to Robin Hoods Bay and through to Whitby for a more challenging trek.
