Reviews

Such a cosy and comfortable cottage in the perfect location. Look forward to returning next year.

Miss M,

This is my 2nd visit to Harbour cottage because I loved it so much the 1st time! It’s a beautiful cottage set in the centre of Rye and it had everything I needed for a very warm and comfortable stay. The bed is to die for! I will definitely stay here again.

Miss C,

We had the most wonderful time in Rye. The cottage is utterly charming, warm and comfortable and somehow fitted with all amenities despite the limited space — and in a perfect location as well. We will certainly come back!

Ms S,

It was the perfect retreat, delightfully presented with many thoughtful touches and decorations. Its location made it ideal for exploring the town without the noise of constant traffic, vehicular or pedestrian; it was a fine place to spend three nights between Christmas and New Year. We would be happy to recommend your property and would like to think we may stay there again, perhaps in warmer, dryer and brighter weather!

Mr S,

This adorable cottage had everything I wanted to make my stay very warm and comfortable. It has the most beautiful view over Winchelsea beach towards Fairlight in the distance and it’s even more stunning at night with moonlight! The locale of Rye is very beautiful especially now all the Christmas lights are up in the high street and in the windows of houses! I also wanted to explore Romney marshes, Rye harbour, Brighton, Hastings, Battle and all of that was very accessible from very close to Harbour cottage. Right now I’m planning my next stay at Harbour cottage!

Miss C,

Lovely cottage very clean and a very comfortable ,have stayed here a few times and the same friendly welcome applies .we often recommend our visit to friends and family set in a very pretty village with extra little touches at the cottage that we enjoy very much ,great area and base to surrounding areas

Previous Customer,

We have continued to stay at Harbour Cottage again as it offers comfortable accommodation and easy access to the town of Rye. There are great views across the Strand and over the marshes.

Mr R,

The property was exactly what we were expecting. The only downsides were nowhere to freeze ice blocks and having to park 10 minutes walk away (which we were aware of). Middling scores for Original Cottages are simply because there are many similar booking companies and location is more important than who we book with!

Mr John H,

We can highly recommend Harbour Cottage - a beautifully appointed, cosy place, tucked away in a quiet and very pretty pedestrianised location but also conveniently sited in the centre of town. We'll definitely be back again before long! Thank you so much for a truly magical stay.

Ms P,

A delightful 18th century cottage with all mod cons tucked away down a footpath passage off the bottom of historic Mermaid Street. Absolutely quiet hideaway yet a few minutes from the High Street. Small but beautifully presented inside and could not be faulted. The owner was very helpful with welcome notes and when contacted re the key. Everything went so smoothly. Snug and warm in Winter as well! Will definitely stay again.
