Reviews

Excellent property very quaint right in middle of village Would highly recommend it

Mr I,

We enjoyed a fault free holiday

Mr Mike F,

Beautiful cottage, lovely location, would recommend to everyone who can manage 3 flights of stairs . Quirky and comfortable ??

Mrs Hayley W,

1. For some reason we cannot view our bookings on the website through our account. So viewing holiday was an issue. 2. Some of the information (though turned out to be important) sent to us about the property was inaccurate. We needed to find out about the caretaker and the wrong details were held by Original Cottages. 3. Unfortunately, through no fault of Original Cottages or the owner (Sarah) we were unable to access our property as the lock on the front door had locked itself on the latch. But because of the issues made above on points 1 & 2 it was very difficult to find the information we needed to get access to the property. We had to spend 1-2 hours on the first night of our holiday phoning around. When we called Original Cottages the communication wasn’t great and we ended up doing all the work ourselves. The details held by Original Cottages were the details of the previous caretaker who was able to contact the owners and they called us direct. Due to the lack of communication we are unsure if Original Cottages had made any contact with the owners or the new caretaker, but we had no follow-up call from Original Cottages to make sure we were in the cottage. We were informed that we would be entitled to some recompense to purchase a tea/ coffee whilst the issue was resolved but we are not sure how this would present itself. We live RHB and Green Cottage and will be staying but we are unsure if we will be doing this through Orginal Cottages/ Ingrid Flute/ Yorkshire Cottages as we felt very unsupported.

Mrs Claire G,

Location

Robin Hoods Bay
One of the jewels in the crown of the North East coastline is the small fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay. Located five miles south of Whitby and 15 miles north of Scarborough, it is the perfect place for a self-catering holiday. Steeped in history this quaint village with its winding cobbled streets, dotted with cafes, pubs and shops it is well catered for visitors. It boasts a stunning beach at the foot of the bay which provides a paradise for family fun. Children will be entertained with plenty of rock pools to splash in and fossils to hunt for, while adults can take in the breathtaking views of the cliffs and old town, which tell the exciting history of the place.
