Reviews

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location. We really enjoyed our stay.

Mrs W,

Property was in a great location and the parking permit was real bonus. The house itself was comfortable and catered for all our needs.

Mr T,

The cottage was as described by yourselves. Lovely and clean. Original Cottages were very informative and the whole process was made very easy.

Mrs Tracey S,

We found everything from the booking experience to the stay wonderful. Booking online was easy and when we wanted to add extra days, I found speaking with employees over the phone both helpful and enjoyable - they were lovely people. The cottage itself was beautiful and well kept. All instructions on checking in and out were clear and concise. Original Cottages really need to thank their staff for being so helpful and polite.

Mr Joshua C,

Peters House is a lovely property, in an ideal location on the quieter side of the old village. The house was very clean and generously equipped - we had everything we needed for our family of five, and felt very welcome during our stay. I would definitely recommend this house and would hope to stay there again in future.

Mrs Kate A,

Comfortable house in a lovely location.

Mrs Ruth R,

everything ran very smoothly, all communications were very clear. the cottage was excellent and clean. arriving to rea, milk and biscuits is always a nice way to start a holiday.

Mr Peter W,

We had a fabulous break at the cottage. Perfect location, cosy and warm and lovely attention to detail. Just felt the oven which we had an issue with made me score 3 but I must say the owner did all he could to solve the problem!

Ms Sue F,

We had a very relaxing week in a fabulous location. The cottage was right in the centre of Robin hoods bay and was well equipped for cooking and was very warm and cosy. The bed was comfortable but the living room sofas unfortunately were not at all. They were hard and cold to sit on and no throws were provided; thankfully we brought our own. As we were both recovering from an illness we didn't stay out too late in the evenings and were disappointed to have no smart TV. Despite the two negative points we did thoroughly enjoy our stay.

Mrs Joann R,

Location

Robin Hoods Bay
One of the jewels in the crown of the North East coastline is the small fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay. Located five miles south of Whitby and 15 miles north of Scarborough, it is the perfect place for a self-catering holiday. Steeped in history this quaint village with its winding cobbled streets, dotted with cafes, pubs and shops it is well catered for visitors. It boasts a stunning beach at the foot of the bay which provides a paradise for family fun. Children will be entertained with plenty of rock pools to splash in and fossils to hunt, while adults can take in the breathtaking views of the cliffs which tell the enchanting history of the place.
