Reviews

A lovely well equipped property with a view over Padstow estuary to die for. We shop once, then leave the car for the week as there are so many walks right from Sandbars. Sit back and enjoy the view in the evening with a glass of wine!

Ms W,

Sandbars is a great base in Padstow. We have stayed in many properties in and around Padstow and this has to be one of the best. Every comfort is provided in the bungalow that has a superb elevated ever changing view overlooking the Camel estuary. With a drive for parking and storage for our bikes it is most convenient for walks and cycle rides from the accommodation. There is a lovely garden at the rear with seating and a front terrace also with seating where you can take in the magnificent view and watch the world go by. We would highly recommend Sandbars.

Mrs H,

Sandbars is excellent. It was very clean and comfortable with everything you need for a fantastic stay and the view was by far the best we’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Mrs H,

Lovely property in gorgeous location and have stayed in other properties around same area of Padstow, but would put this as our 1st choice. Easy walk into Padstow and all amenities.

Mr L,

Sandbars was a beautiful bungalow ideally situated for Padstow! So if you want a relaxing holiday where you have everything on the doorstep and you don’t need to use your car! Sandbars is the place to stay

Mrs O,

A very comfortable and well equipped bungalow with spectacular views of the Camel estuary located in a quite backwater of Padstow but literally a few minutes walk away from both Padstow town centre and the Camel trail.

Mr W,

This is a very clean bungalow in an excellent location with outstanding views. It is one of the best holiday places that we have stayed in and definitely the best in Padstow.

Miss E,

This is an exceptionally comfortable property on the edge of the town, so easy to walk into the harbour area and also quiet. The views of the estuary are mesmerising. Highly recommended.

Mrs M,

Sandbars in an excellent property in a quiet location on the outskirts of Padstow. It has all the amenities you would expect of a holiday property. Well decorated, equipped and cared for with a fantastic ever changing view of the Camel Estuary. There is a lovely garden for the summer months with outdoor seating in both front and back. Handy bike storage in the garage and off road parking space. There are many walks and great restaurants close by to enjoy. We hope to return soon.

Mrs H,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
