Reviews

We loved our stay at The Gardens, it was a lovely warm home from home. Great location, quiet but close to so many lovely beaches. Highlight for me was the garden and watching the birds and having the bird food was a lovely touch, i enjoyed filling the bird feeder and watching the different birds every day. Would love to return.

Mrs S,

This is a lovely cottage in a great location and is highly recommended.

Mr S,

Very quaint cottage in remote but close to all the amazing beaches . Dog friendly and our greyhound was very happy here but the very pretty garden is not enclosed . The cottage was well appointed - the fires set and log basket full , beautiful bed linens , powerful over bath shower , every utensil you may need in the kitchen . Oh and the welcome tray of treats was yummy ! There is off road parking in front of the garden but it would be tight for 2 cars ! Also as expected in a Cornish hamlet the roads are very narrow and the lane the property is on is very tight but this shouldn’t put you off this great property . It really is a little Cornish gem !

Mrs H,

Owner clearly takes great care of the property- in great order for an older cottage. Nice garden to sit in - very quiet and peaceful setting. Less than 10 minutes drive to great beaches - places to eat. Padstow less than 15 minutes away. Recommended.

Mr G,

The cottage is absolutely adorable and very well equipped. The location and the long beach walk is great for keen walkers.

Mrs G,

A lovely, comfortable cottage in a quiet, pretty village just 3 miles from the beautiful beach of Porthcothan.

Mrs W,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
