The picturesque riverside town of Fowey will entice you back year after year. You’ll find quaint winding streets and a plethora of local businesses where you will be hard-pressed not to buy something to take home to remind you of your holiday. There’s an excellent choice of restaurants serving great food using locally-sourced ingredients with fresh fish being a popular choice. If you love to walk and explore the coastline then Fowey will not disappoint. Boat trips are available from the Town Quay in season or you can rent one locally and explore the many creeks at leisure. Kayaking on the River Fowey is a popular pastime and the Bodinnick Ferry is steps away allowing you to cross the river easily and explore the delights of Polruan.

Kitchen/Dining Area: Fridge/freezer, electric oven, Bosch induction hob, dishwasher, wine cooler, microwave, washer/dryer in utility cupboard. Dining set for 4.
Living Area: Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, Sonos speaker.

GARDEN & PARKING: Allocated space for 2 cars on site. Enclosed terrace with both dining and seating options and outdoor heater.

Power and Heat: Gas and electricity included, underfloor heating, heated towel rails in bathrooms.
Bedding and Linen: The White Company bed linen and towels provided; please bring your own beach towels.
Baby Equipment: Fixed stairgate at first floor level, two wooden highchairs provided.

Great experience from booking through to arrival at our accommodation. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, and excellent quality kitchen equipment. Lovely little welcome touch of biscuits and milk upon arrival, which were well needed after our drive through Fowey village!!!! Perfect spot to walk into Fowey, with quaint shops, and great places to get something to eat or have a drink. Everyone was so friendly. Would highly recommend and would love to come back.

Location

If you haven't yet discovered Fowey, you've got a treat in store.  Full of multicoloured cottages, perched on the hillsides leading down to the sea, this little fishing town has lots to tempt visitors. 

There is an entrancing collection of unique local shops and boutiques, along with harbourside cafes, pubs which will give you a hearty welcome and a good atmosphere, and restaurants offering tempting local produce.  If you want a unique insight into the local species in these waters, you could visit Fowey Aquarium, whose residents include specimens brought in by local fishermen.

If you're a fan of Daphne du Maurier, you may want to visit the Literary Centre, which gives information and exhibits about the author and her life and work.  There is also the Fowey Festival of Words and Music, held in May, in which du Maurier, and many other authors, artists and musicians, are celebrated.  Another great spectacle is the Fowey Royal Regatta, held in August.

Fowey lies within one of the many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall, and the backdrop of the surrounding countryside, with its tidal creeks, rolling fields and rugged cliffs, will make you want to return here again and again.
