Reviews

Shipshape is a lovely little house, beautifully furnished and equipped, and our dog was welcome too. A lovely cream tea was waiting for us on arrival and even included a little bag of treats for the dog! A real home from home, comfortable furniture, and lovely fresh white bedlinen and towels. If you book Shipshape for your next holiday you won't be disappointed. We thoroughly recommend this property.

Mrs B,

A brilliant dog friendly property and location. Our greyhound was truly at home!

Mrs A,

Very nice very well equipped little cottage, great location only a short walk from the Harbour.

Mr P,

Lovely home from home. Excellent location, very well presented house & brilliant welcome package. Comfy beds & fab power shower! We loved visiting Padstow and will be back. Thank you!

Past Customer,

Back home again for May day! Another special day with great weather. Amazing to be staying in a cottage in old school grounds where we started school some 65 years ago. Cottage is very well appointed in an ideal location. We will be back again.

Past Customer,

Beautiful cottage & great location, especially with a parking spot! Lots of walking & people watching around the harbour as usual & visits along the coast and to St Mawes, Charleston and Heligan in the south. Eighth year to Padstow and one of the best cottages we have been to.

Past Customer,

Shipshape is a cute little place, had everything we needed and a surprise Cornish tea waiting for us was lovely

Mrs M,

An excellent location for us as being dog friendly is important. The cornish tea and dog treats much appreciated

Mrs Shirley A,

Your website says the property has 2 bathrooms which is not the case, could do with more comfortable furniture in the back yard, barbecue needs replacing (main strut joining the wheel rusted through), coffee machine doesn’t work on full cup setting, apart from that lovely house.

Mr Martin S,

Fantastic location. Compact , fully loaded with all essentials that you need at and all good quality. Very comfortable stay.

Miss Kim B,

We have been several times we love it, excellent location

Mr Nathan B,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
