Description

Hidden away down one of Padstow's tiny alleyways you will find the lovely character cottage, 'Chy Gwyn Rosen', which is Cornish for 'White Rose Cottage'. This cosy and charming home has many original features preserved; stone fireplace, slate flagged floor and stripped doors and floorboards resulting in a sweet little holiday home.  Of course, it helps to have modern conveniences as well and there is no shortage at Chy Gwyn Rosen which has full central heating and a dishwasher to ensure your stay is a comfortable one.  The cottage is ideal for walking into the town to visit the many excellent pubs and restaurants as it is only a minute's walk from the harbour. Padstow is full of charm with a beautiful unspoilt harbour and a maze of picturesque narrow streets with many interesting shops and galleries as well as tea shops, patisserie, delicatessen - not forgetting several pasty shops! There are beaches both sides of the river estuary; only a few minutes' walk on the Padstow side and a quick hop across the river on the ferry to get to Rock.

Reviews

Chy Gwyn Rosen was a very cosy comfortable cottage right in the centre of Padstow, shops, pubs, restaurants and harbour right on the doorstep. Very small enclosed front garden. Ideal for a couple and 2 children.

Mrs S,

Thanks, everything was great. We’ve stayed there a couple of years ago as well

Mr E,

Perfect for the closeness to Padstow. No parking, wasn't an issue as we could drop the luggage off and go and park in the Link Road car park a short walk away. In the winter months it costs less than £8 for the week to park. Lovely having the log burner.

Dr R,

Lovely, comfortable little cottage situated right in the heart of Padstow old town - so absolutely perfect as a base for exploring Padstow & the surrounding area. We've been here several times & cannot fault it. So close to the harbour, Camel Trail, coastal path, plus so many wonderful restaurants & pubs!
