Reviews

The cottage was really lovely. Clean and very comfortable and very well stocked. It was lovely to be able to walk into town. We really enjoyed our stay.

Mrs G,

A lovely cottage in a great location. Very comfortable throughout. Fairly well equipped - wonderful towels, lots of crockery and cutlery, good selection of cookware. We would be happy to book again.

Mrs M,

The cottage was excellent and so near to everything, we had a great few days.

Mrs L,

This is lovely updated and quaint cottage dogs welcome 2 minute walk to all amenities.

Ms K,

Great property in central position of Padstow convenient for all facilities. Lovely decoration- home from home.

Mrs H,

Fabulous location - just up the hill from the main old town, easy to stroll down to be part of the hustle and bustle, but not so close that it felt noisy or intrusive. Had everything we needed - comfortable beds, nice bathrooms (it’s not easy to find a 2 bed property also with 2 bathrooms and a downstairs loo) well equipped and fitted kitchen, cosy lounge including enough floor space for the dogs to flop down after their walks. Am already looking to see which weeks are available next year!

Mrs M,

Sunbeam Cottage is conveniently located for the centre of Padstow, and is a clean, comfortable well equipped home from home, with a number of attractive period features. We have stayed there on previous occasions and were delighted to have the opportunity to do so, again. It lacks car parking facilities and an enclosed outside space, but this is common with old fishermen's cottages. There is parkland a short distance away, for exercising dogs. We and our Golden Retriever would happily recommend this cottage.

Mrs B,

Good location. Nice kitchen and equipment. It is as described. Not very private when blinds open on front window & bedroom's but that's the positioning of the property. We were fine with all of these aspects as its the charm, & history of the place. Owners obviously care. All in all and enjoyable 2 weeks.

Mr S,

The bathroom in the cottage require a total revamp. The en-suite off the main bedroom, shower doors came off the runners, toilet kept blocking, shelf above the basin makes it impossible to clean your teeth. Other en-suite bathroom fan doesn’t work, shower doesn’t drain properly, nowhere to put toiletries. Downstairs cloakroom has no running hot water - legal requirement. Kitchen tap broke numerous times. There are slugs in the living room. Inadequate clothes storage in the twin room and complete lack of hangers. Lack of plug sockets especially in the bedrooms unable to do your hair. In it’s current state this is not a 4* property.
