Reviews

Absolutely fantastic property, just perfect for us (2 adults, 5 children (aged 13-21) & 2 dogs). Great location, really peaceful and easy access to some glorious beaches and the towns of Newquay, Wadebridge and Padstow. The property was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We had a really lovely holiday.

Miss A,

Really good location lodge was lovely and comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed.

Mrs S,

We had the most wonderful stay at Milton Lodge, being very warm, comfortable and well equipped. The welcome package of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. Milton Lodge is well positioned between Padstow and Wadebridge, on the Saints Way, and within easy drives to fabulous beaches up and down the coastline. The fact that the beds were made up and bathroom towels provided, was a huge bonus and (rather lazily) so nice that we weren't required to give the lodge a deep clean before leaving (of course, we left it clean and tidy!). We will definitely be re-booking.

Mrs D,

We both loved are stay at Milton Lodge, the lodge was clean and very cosy, we loved the good size bathrooms and bedrooms and Modern kitchen. And the side garden and drying line We will be returning again to Milton Lodge !

Mr J,

We had a wonderful few days at Milton Lodge. The location was ideal for a long dog walk into Padstow and then easy access buy car to the local beaches and restaurants. The house itself was perfect for us as we were 3 adults and 4 children and 1 dog. The shared areas were lovely and perfect for evenings and breakfasts together. Would recommend for sure!

Mrs S,

We chose this property because it’s dog friendly, great value for money, and in a good location. We wanted to be close enough to Padstow so we could travel in by car, bus or taxi. The property was clean, modern and comfortable, with good facilities for us to enjoy spending time relaxing there. A lovely touch to find milk, biscuits, tea, coffee and sugar left for us. Also, a supply of washing up liquid, kitchen roll and soap. These little extras made a big difference in welcoming us feel welcome. I would recommend and stay again.

Mrs M,

A lovely lodge. A little tired in places. Very well equipped kitchen. Personally found the bed uncomfortable. The shower was great and the living area is a good space with lovely views. Brilliant location for popping into Padstow and exploring the surrounding beaches. Milton Lodge was a relaxing space to come back to after a busy day.

Mrs Karen P,

Lovely house - clean and spacious. Christmas Tree and fairy lights being welcoming. Had a great Christmas, always love Cornwall Hope to be back!

Michaela S,

A lovely lodge with all we required. Everything clean and all we needed. Lovely to have Christmas Tree and fairy lights!

Gregor G,

“Milton Lodge is in a great location - so close to Padstow, and all of the glorious beaches and walks nearby. The house was lovely - warm and comfortable and the kitchen had every untensil I could possibly have needed. Thoughfully, there ware jars of tea, coffee and sugar, a pack of cookies and milk in the fridge. The only slight negative is that Milton Lodge is an upside down house and there is no bathroom upstairs, so bear in mind for anyone with mobility difficulties. It was a great space to spend time with my 3 boys and my parents. We had the flexibility of eating in the well equipped kitchen / diner or going to one of the many nearby restaurants. We had fish and chips from Rick Stein's one night, and we made it back to the lodge with the food still hot. Great place with excellent amenities. Thank you for such a lovely space to stay for our holiday in Cornwall.”

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
