Description

Once a sail loft, Sailmakers is a modernised Grade II listed conversion to a beautiful family home.  The sail loft itself is now a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with a bank of windows increasing the airy feel.  If you are looking for a car free holiday this cottage is ideal since it is located in the heart of the old town with all the amenities, shops and restaurants close at hand.  But having the benefit of the garage makes it just as easy to jump in the car and go out for the day. Stairs lead from the hall to an open plan reception area with another set of stairs then going down to the third bedroom and shower room.  On the second floor, guests will be delighted by the large master bedroom and en suite bathroom and second bedroom with additional bathroom.  With surfing, restaurants, beaches, coastal walks and the joys of Padstow all on your doorstep, all interests are catered for.  A short drive takes you to yet more gorgeous sandy beaches great for families or surfing and coastal footpaths with outstanding views.  The Eden Project is within a half hour drive and Tate St Ives is 1 hour away.

For a holiday in Padstow this property was perfect. The house is just a stone’s throw from the harbour. The layout is great for a family holiday. Everyone has their own space and bathroom. The big bonus is that it comes with a spacious garage. Parking in Padstow is fun, so having the garage in the property is fantastic. All in all we have nothing but positive feedback for the property

Short family break in Padstow. Property is situated in the heart of the town and a very short walk to the harbour. Property was well appointed and clean and had everything you would need. Great to have private parking albeit very tight to get a large car into the garage.

Great property, everything you need within including a much valued garage for the car! Ideally situated for the harbour which is a 5 minute walk away - pubs, restaurants, bakeries and lovely shops also within a 5 minute walk.

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
