Description

Hideaway Cottage is true to its name and is 'hidden' away down a small alleyway just off New Street on the fringe of the old town, less than a two minute walk to the harbour. The three storey cottage has recently been rebuilt to modern standards, but still retains its old charm and traditional features. The property includes three bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, together with a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. The top bedroom boasts a lovely view of the estuary overlooking the rooftops and there is a small courtyard belonging to the property which can be used by the guests. Just two minutes' walk from Padstow's picturesque harbour and the many shops, pubs and many highly recommended restaurants, including Rick Stein's famous Seafood Restaurant. For the more adventurous, cycling the Camel Trail to the market town of Wadebridge is a great way to spend a few hours, or if walking is more your style, why not think about tracing part of the Saints' Way, whilst taking in the beautiful scenery from the many vantage points. Beautiful sandy beaches found along the estuary are a short walk from the town and many more waiting to be discovered within a short driving distance south of Padstow.

Mrs G,

Nice cottage, excellent location. Could do with updating at bit but decent value for money.

Mrs B,

Superb cottage in the perfect location to explore . Would definitely recommend and we will be booking again on our next visit to Cornwall

Miss F,

Lovely little cottage in a great location, great views from the top bedroom. Limited natural light to the kitchen/living room.

Mr F,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
