Reviews

Very comfortable. Thanks

Mr H,

The cottage was warm and cosy, well equipped and in a quiet location.

Mrs B,

Lovely property, close enough to walk into Padstow and an excellent location to explore further a field. Very well equipped, with everything in excellent condition. Fully recommended.

Mr F,

Relatively convenient to Padstow. Very clean with high range of equipment

Mrs C,

Dory cottage in Padstow is a cosy base for a couple or small family. A brilliantly clean, contemporary yet compact accommodation. Dory cottage is a convenient base to explore Padstow and beyond. Thank you for a lovely short holiday experience Aug 2023.

Mr D,

Dory Cottage was a fabulous home-from-home property. The location was excellent with only a 10 minute walk to the main attractions in Padstow - numerous places to eat, lovely shops and picturesque marina. The local south beach is a wonderful, safe haven for families, albeit it a bit of a walk to get to it ..... but along a pathway with fantastic panoramic views across the Camel Estuary. We were not blessed with great weather during our stay but this did not detract from us having a great time and still managing to get out and about to visit the many local attractions - including fabulous National Trust Properties. We would definitely consider a return visit.

Mrs S,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
