Reviews

This was our sixth visit to this beautiful cottage, superbly equipped in a great location.

Mr W,

Excellent location ,cosy and warm ( we visited in March ) and had everything you need for a lovely stay .

Mr P,

Perfectly placed for approximately 2-3 minute walk into Padstow centre. Quietly tucked away too.

Mrs E,

Well equipped, comfortable cottage in a great location in the centre of Padstow, but in a very quiet spot. Nice to have outside seating area and the car parking space is much appreciated.

Mr L,

This was our third year staying at the property having thoroughly enjoyed staying there the first time. It is extremely well maintained and equipped and is ideally situated being within easy (almost flat) walking distance to the centre but placed so that you aren’t disturbed by any late night holiday makers. The outside patio area also allows you to enjoy a pleasant evening outside should you not want to venture out

Mr Graham C,

A lovely cottage, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. It was in a very convenient position, only being a 5-minute walk to the harbour, and having a parking space so close to the property was definitely a bonus. The beds were lovely and comfortable and the whole cottage was well-furnished. Despite being so close to the centre of Padstow it was very quiet. We loved being able to walk down every evening and stroll round the harbour. Even though it is very busy during the day, it is quite peaceful and pleasant in the evenings.

mrs D,

Great property with a lovely little garden, in a great location with parking, what more could you ask for.

Mrs A,

Another lovely holiday in Padstow. Lucky with the weather. Great walks and lovely food.

Mrs Anne T,

Lovely holiday cottage. Well Equipped and very comfortable. Great to be near the town.

Dr Alexander J,

Lovely week here in Padstow. Enjoyed staying in the cottage. Also walking in great scenery and eating out!

Ms Elisabeth C,

We had a lovely stay in this lovely cottage, we will definitely return.

Mr Tim H,

Thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing & restful week. Loved the cottage - very clean, beautifully decorated, everything we needed. Couldn't believe how perfect the location is - only took our car out once. So lucky with the weather too.

Mr Tony D,

Methven cottage was excellent , the cleanest and nicest place we have stayed in , so close to the harbour , hardly a 2 minute walk with everything on hand . having a parking space was perfect . I could not recommend Methven highly enough it is superb. Tim, Hazel, Josh and Samantha..

Mr Tim H,

Gorgeous Cottage. Wonderful Christmas in Padstow, our new favourite place! Cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and clean. Will definitely visit again.

Mrs Tracy W,

Property was everything and more, like home from home, comfortable beds, good power shower, warm and cosy and fully equipped, would definitely recommend for both property and location, would also like to mention it was probably the cleanest property we have ever stayed in, full marks to the housekeeper.

Mrs H,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
