Description

Attractive and luxurious apartment with lovely estuary views, located in the heart of Padstow, only a minute's walk from the harbour. This barn conversion, to the rear of The Old Custom House, has been carried out to a high standard and the resulting first floor apartment is spacious, comfortable, very well equipped and decorated with sumptuous cottons, wooden floors and contemporary original art. It is also convenient for all the amenities of the town.  There is so much to see and do within walking distance when you begin to explore Padstow's beautiful unspoilt harbour, shops, restaurants, galleries and pubs and the maze of picturesque narrow streets. Alternatively explore the Camel Trail, which winds its way inland along the river to Wadebridge and beyond, walk to the nearby beaches in the estuary or pop over to Rock on the ferry. You could also visit one of the fabulous sandy surfing beaches and the spectacular coastal path within a few miles drive.

Reviews

Excellent location, wonderful relaxed feel and will stay again!

Mrs F,

This is the second time we have stayed at The Old Custom House and would stay again if visiting Padstow . The property is perfectly located very close to the harbour. it’s spacious and clean. Parking can be an issue if you go out for a time and return in the mid part of the a specially in high season.

Mr U,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
