Location
Harlyn Bay has plenty on offer for all its visitors, whether you want a traditional family beach holiday, a more active break including surfing and walking, or just a relaxing break. The beach is dog-friendly, which means that canine visitors can holiday with their families, and the cliffs either side are excellent for walkies! The beach is considered one of the most family friendly beaches in the area, with plenty of space for building sandcastles and paddling. If the kids (and those who are still young at heart!) want to try learning to surf, there are several local companies who offer lessons, and the whole family can give it a try. Nearby is The Pig restaurant, which offers great food and a welcoming atmosphere. There is a small local shop in Harlyn Bay, and more shops, pubs and a good choice of restaurants in nearby St Merryn. The Bay is also within a short drive of Padstow, which also has a good selection of pubs and restaurants, and of course the Camel Trail, where you can hire bikes and cycle to Wadebridge, and on to Bodmin if you're up for it.
