Fisherlasses Flat is a bright and spacious upper apartment offering a splendid sea view in the heart of Seahouses old village. As the name suggests, the property is the former living quarters of the ‘herring lasses’ who from the mid-1800s onwards worked downstairs in the smokery which is the birthplace of the smoked kipper. The smokehouse is the last remaining working example in Seahouses and still operates to this day. Located only a few hundred yards from the quaint harbour, Fisherlasses Flat is also within walking distance of the pubs, restaurants, shops, and locally renowned fish and chips shops.

There is plenty to see and do in Seahouses including boat trips to the Farne Islands where you can see a large colony of grey seals as well as an abundance of seabirds, such as the puffins during nesting season. Take the sunset cruise and you may be lucky enough to be followed by the local pod of playful bottlenose dolphins. Along the Northumbrian Heritage Coastline, some incredible sights include Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh Castle, and Holy Island. Activities to be enjoyed in the area include fishing, cycling, boat trips, horse riding, golf.

Please be aware this property is located above a working shop (The Fisherman’s Kitchen) which is attached to Swallow’s Smokery.

Parking: street parking is available directly outside the Fisherman’s Kitchen.
